Strelkov was the so-called main "separatist" commander and was exploited by the Kremlin to instigate war in southeastern Ukraine. He had a positive view of Putin, but later changed his mind. Alternative media once had a positive view of Strelkov as well as of the "separatists" as a whole. Today, alternative disinformation websites no longer acknowledge this person. Supporters of alternative media would have a heart attack from this interview, because this does not fit into Putin's propaganda. I am selecting some of the most important excerpts from a journalistic interview with Strelkov. He talks about the very bad situation in Donbas. Although southeastern Ukraine was among the most economically successful, Strelkov does not mince words and reproaches the separatists for being a mafia that has made the region very poor and miserable. Alternative media would never want to publish this interview, it does not fit into Kremlin propaganda at all. Strelkov speaks of a very harsh truth. Although the hateful propaganda of Russian alternative media speaks of hatred towards the West, Strelkov's Declaration also speaks of the necessity for Russia to transform into a state that will introduce a visa regime for Central Asian countries, but for citizens of the USA, EU and other developed countries, he asks for easier entry into the country.
Furthermore, Strelkov does not rule out that the criminal political regime in Russia will one day imprison him for criticizing Putin.
He has a relatively positive attitude towards Navalny and liberal politicians.
Strelkov was the main leader and father of the so-called pro-Russian separatists in Donbas. Alternative disinformation media never say anything about Igor Girkin Strelkov and are afraid of this name like the devil of holy water, because the propaganda they spread would collapse like a house of cards. Igor Girkin is a Russian citizen, an officer of the Russian military intelligence service GRU, and was misused by the Russian government to start a war in southeastern Ukraine. This man repeatedly revealed at several press conferences what the public should never have known: that the so-called separatists are not local partisans but professional Russian soldiers, whom he commanded. After he revealed this information about how he was misused by the Russian president to start a war in Ukraine, Strelkov was fired from the secret service and stripped of all his ranks. Currently, Strelkov is one of the biggest opposition critics of Putin's dictatorial criminal regime.
The most important excerpts from the interview with Strelkov:
When Putin changed the external and internal political course so significantly in 2014, he should have replaced all the cadres at the same time. Yegor Prosvirnin always criticizes me terribly for this, but everyone remembers this quote from Stalin: "It's all about the right people." If you entrust the most important tasks to scoundrels and villains, then it's no wonder that they steal and sell everything. And Putin didn't replace any of his people. He inherited some from the Yeltsin era, and he chose some himself from his judo friends and various shady dealings. His people only know how to steal, they can't do anything else. I believed that the process of cadre renewal would begin, that Putin would select a viable group of new people to fulfill new tasks, because how can you even politically compete with the West when the children of the Minister of Foreign Affairs study in Great Britain, when his own children live in the Netherlands, when the entire family of the person entrusted with responsibility for Ukraine lives in London.
Journalist: I know you maintain relations with Donbas. What do you think about the humanitarian situation there? For example, Alexander Zhuchkovsky repeatedly writes that a significant part of the humanitarian aid is simply stolen.
Strelkov: As for the embezzlement, I can't say for sure, I don't have that much information. But it's being talked about a lot, and I think most of it is true.
But I can't say that it's true. Zhuchkovsky is more in the picture, he's on the spot, and I don't understand why he would lie.
I know that there is no hunger there now. The worst was in the winter of 2014 and 2015, when there was no social security and old people were really starving. Now nothing like that is happening. But the level of Donbas is heading towards poverty because the territory is still falling apart. Economic relations with Ukraine are broken, and with Russia they are not normal either. Everything is run by the mafia.
The situation is disgusting. Moscow has simply betrayed the Russian population in Donbas. There is poverty, social stratification, a new group of oligarchs has been created, and the majority of the population lives in poverty.
Journalist: You know that nationalists are being imprisoned in our country. Aren't you afraid that you and your allies will end up in prison?
Strelkov: I am not a nationalist because I want to destroy all other nations, but because I feel sorry for our Russian nation.
***********
I also imagine what might happen to me if I end up in prison.
In this sense, I am not in dispute with Navalny: the whole system works on the corrupt rule of "steal, sell, export abroad".
***********
I have no hostility towards the ordinary liberals with white ribbons. I think that if we can build a normal state, they will find their place in it, God grant that they are happy, rich and have many children.

Strelkov's statement about Putin's people is very harsh:
When Hitler takes power in our country tomorrow, everyone will join the ranks of the NSDAP; if it's the Americans, they will welcome them with tears of joy in their eyes. When Poroshenko arrives in a tank tomorrow, they will find out that their grandfather was Ukrainian or their grandmother was Jewish.
