Warning: The VLK Association are fake environmentalists

I present the following arguments:

  • The VLK association has no experts. They do not have a single forester in their membership.
  • The VLK association is against foresters in the Tatras cutting down dry trees infested with bark beetles and planting new trees, which is a measure against the spread of bark beetles.
  • It is more than obvious whether the foresters, whose knowledge has been accumulated over a 300-year tradition, or the amateur activists from the VLK association were right since 2004, when the calamity in the Tatras occurred. Time has already shown whose side the truth was on.
  • Thanks to their activities, the entire High and Low Tatras are eaten by bark beetles because they advocate a philosophy of non-intervention, thus preventing foresters from stopping the spread of the bark beetle. A large part of the trees dried out while standing. Finding greenery in the Tatras is no longer a given; you are more likely to come across deadwood.
  • Foresters have long been calling on the VLK association for a joint discussion at a round table, but the VLK association vehemently refuses without giving a reason. Why are these fake ecologists so afraid of foresters? Something is not right here.
  • There is indirect evidence that the VLK association and similar dubious environmental activists, who are fighting against saving the Tatras from the bark beetle, are only interested in money: they have repeatedly managed to obtain subsidies from EU funds for dubious and completely unnecessary research. Most recently, they managed to obtain subsidies for the protection of the capercaillie for almost EUR 600,000: however, foresters sharply criticized this project and called it a waste of money. The most relevant expert foresters were not involved in the project at all, nor was the most famous forester, and the most relevant well-founded expert who fights for the protection of the capercaillie, Miroslav Saniga. The entire project was done with zero expertise and therefore will not help the capercaillie in any way. However, almost EUR 600,000 will be spent on it from EU funds.
