Naturally, I will not repeat the information that the media has already reported.
A public opinion poll showed thatSlovaks have been successfully processed by Russian disinformation propaganda, which is bad news. In the article, I will talk about the reasons why this is the case.
The annexation of Crimea by Russia occurred in 2014, and today it is 2022. As early as 2014, there was talk of Russian troll farms, paid trolls, and alternative media funded by Russia. Eight years have passed since then. During these 8 years, all those responsible failed to do anything about the propaganda: politicians, the media, and the secret service all failed. Nothing was done in 8 years. The government could have imposed regulations on disinformation media. The secret service, in cooperation with the police, could have eliminated various illegal activities of hybrid warfare on the territory of the Slovak Republic, of which there are certainly many. While disinformation media have been very active over the past 8 years, mainstream media, on the other hand, have remained passive. While alternative media spread tons of disinformation, tons of propaganda that idealized Putin and spread chauvinistic hatred towards Ukraine and the USA, mainstream media practically remained silent.
The lack of information about Russia and Ukraine creates a large space for disinformation.
As I have already mentioned, I have a very bad opinion of Slovak journalists, and it cannot be compared to Czech ones. Czech journalists were incomparably more active in informing about Russia and Russian propaganda.
Recently, disinformation about the agreement between Slovakia and the USA has been actively spread by opposition politicians such as Robert Fico. And so a pathetic "analyst" like the historian Eduard Chmelár, who is in Putin's ass and spreads chauvinistic hatred against Ukraine and the USA, should not even get into the media (TV TA3). These people also have an influence on public opinion.
An interesting pro-Kremlin disinformation report was published on TV JOJ , where they deliberately forgot to mention that the report was recorded in occupied Donetsk, where there is a harsh dictatorial regime and criticizing Putin is punishable, so people could not express themselves freely.
As a result of the long-term failure to address pro-Russian, pro-Kremlin propaganda, the problem has fully manifested itself in disinformation and COVID, where it is no longer just about chauvinistic propaganda but also about people's health and the economy.
The political ideology of the Kremlin is not far from the ideology of Nazism; it has many common elements, elements of chauvinism against Ukrainians or the USA.
Faith
It makes no sense to argue rationally with people who are fanatical about Kremlin propaganda or COVID propaganda. Belief in disinformation is a religion where people believe but are not willing to think.
Aggression and poor interpersonal relationships
People who believe in disinformation about COVID and Ukraine and are fanatical about this propaganda are very aggressive when they hear a different opinion. Well, I'll take it from a philosophical point of view: it suits the negative forces that people have found an excuse to divide and hate each other again.
I believe that COVID has caused the weakening of the economy also because business partners will refuse to cooperate due to different views on vaccines.
Personally, I greatly appreciate every moderate anti-vaxxer and moderate person who believes in Kremlin propaganda, who is not aggressive when they hear a different opinion and respects and has regard for a person with a different opinion.
