Pro-Russian propaganda infiltrates pro-Western media. Western media are backing down from Russian propaganda.
Times are changing. Pro-Russian propaganda from alternative media is clearly gaining the upper hand. Regardless of whether someone likes it or not, alternative media have long since overpowered mainstream media. Most politicians, whether from the government or the opposition, do not hide their greater or lesser support for many ideas from alternative media.
It must be openly admitted that Russian propaganda is pulling the longer end. Hats off. The strategists working for the Russian government who are responsible for propaganda are real geniuses.
On the other hand, we see a very serious professional failure of the pro-Western media, which, due to their unprofessionalism and inability, are unable to point out the lies of Russian propaganda and other misleading or manipulative facts.
Russian propaganda and alternative media are experiencing enormous success and triumph due to the inability of pro-Western media. Western media are backing down from Russian propaganda, and Russian propaganda has infiltrated the pro-Western media themselves.
There is a lack of detailed, honest analyses of the Ukrainian conflict. Perhaps with the exception of Alexander Duleba, no one is really dealing with this issue honestly, and Mr. Duleba's statements in the mainstream media are also minimal.
It is a big mistake that the pro-Western media have not done any interviews with any serious Ukrainian analysts and do not take into account the opinion of the Ukrainian media, although it would be appropriate for the sake of balance.
Pro-Western media very quickly forgot about the press conferences of the main separatist Igor Girkin Strelkov, who openly and repeatedly admitted that the war in Ukraine was not started by non-existent "separatists" but by Russian soldiers. Pro-Western media were carried away by Russian propaganda and very quickly forgot about the presence of Russian soldiers in the southeast of Ukraine, who have not definitively disappeared from there even now.
Furthermore, in the pro-Western media, I really missed a serious and honest analysis of the discussions surrounding the Minsk peace conferences. The separatists would only agree to peace if they had complete independence from the Ukrainian government. What the separatists call autonomy is even greater independence and autonomy from the Ukrainian government than Slovakia has from the EU!!!! Reaching peace under such absurd conditions is truly impossible, but alternative media label the separatists as peacemakers. Furthermore, the representatives of the self-proclaimed republics demand complete economic independence, their own police, and their own army, which is truly absurd if such things are heard during peace negotiations. Although in alternative media Poroshenko is labeled a fascist who only wants war at all costs, the opposite is true – the side that wants war at all costs are the self-proclaimed occupying republics in the southeast of Ukraine.
***************************
Other interesting facts from Russian government propaganda, which Western media have also partially fallen for.
The Myth of Putin the Peacemaker
Although Putin is referred to as a peacemaker in alternative media, the opposite is true. If Putin wanted to, he could end the Ukrainian conflict overnight with a single presidential decree. But he did not.It is no secret that the self-proclaimed republics are fully subordinate to the Russian government and are also financially dependent on the Russian government. By the way, the father of the "separatists" and the main "separatist" Igor Girkin Strelkov is known to have worked for the Russian government, specifically for the Russian secret service.
The reason why Putin does not want peace, why he does not want to withdraw the occupying "separatists" from the southeast of Ukraine, is quite clear according to serious, honest analysts. For Putin, it would mean a radical drop in popularity; Russians would start to consider Putin a weakling who makes concessions to the hostile West. Russians have a different mentality than Slovaks. While Slovaks want peace, Russians want war – they want to see Russia as a proud, sovereign, dominant country that plays the dominant policeman in Ukraine. For Putin, it is more important to stay in power at all costs and remain popular than peace.
The poor memory of the supporters of alternative media
I was horrified when I read the comments of various supporters of alternative media. People have a very weak memory. It is very sad that people are so strongly brainwashed by propaganda that they do not remember even 3 years of history, they do not even remember what happened 3 years ago.Several debaters have repeatedly argued that the war in Ukraine started because the Ukrainian army began shelling civilian objects in southeastern Ukraine. Then the virtuous separatist heroes came to protect the civilian population of Ukraine. This is clearly a hoax.
The truth is that Russian soldiers started the provocations in the SE of Ukraine. They used the fact that the Ukrainian government amended Yanukovych's language law as a pretext. Russian government media and alternative media began to spread hoaxes that it was forbidden to speak Russian in schools, which was not true. This was the officially justified pretext for the military provocations of the "separatists". The Ukrainian army intervened only after these provocations by the separatists!!
Do Western media sometimes fall for pro-Russian propaganda? Yes, it happens.
Some alternative media say "we are just musicians" when they only quote from Western media. There is mainly one hoax of Russian propaganda that has very successfully managed to establish itself in Western media agencies, which is that Russia has not only not been harmed by sanctions but has, on the contrary, been economically strengthened. Alternative media quoted these press releases from Western media with enormous euphoria and great commitment. Even Western media, from which some alternative media quote, of course, sometimes adopt hoaxes of Russian propaganda. After all, even during Stalin's era, it was said how wonderfully Russia was doing, and Western media fell for it because they had no way to verify the information. But people were actually starving during Stalin's era, especially in certain years. History repeats itself. The same is true today. Alternative media take only 0.01% of information from Western media that fits their propaganda, and what does not fit they reliably censor, although outwardly they pretend to be very much against censorship (e.g., they sharply criticize the amendment to the criminal code by the Minister of Justice, which "allegedly" introduces censorship on social networks). For people who are strongly drawn into the pro-Russian propaganda of alternative media, it is an impossible and unimaginable thing that Western media could fall for pro-Russian propaganda.
The catch, however, is that during socialism, it often happened that Western media fell for the USSR's propaganda and adopted clearly false press releases from Soviet news agencies.
One of many examples of how Western media fell for Soviet propaganda during socialism was, for example, when the communists photographed people waiting in a long line in front of a grocery store. The communists presented this photograph to Western media, writing that people were not waiting in front of a grocery store, but in front of a library. Thus, they presented socialist people as those who have an abnormal interest in educating themselves. They turned a negative thing into something positive.
It is the same today. Western media do not employ infallible gods, but exactly the same people as us. Furthermore, Western media agencies are not secret services and are not connected to secret services, as conspiracy websites might imagine.
Western media generally pay very little attention to and are not very interested in the Ukrainian conflict because, logically, this conflict does not concern Americans as much as it concerns us due to the geographical distance. And it is precisely for this reason that a large gap and a large space for propaganda arise here. Little information, a large space for propaganda, and informational errors.
Alternative media outlets published with enormous euphoria the news from American news agencies that the sanctions had not harmed Russia at all, which is typical propaganda from Russian state-owned media. Western journalists fell for Russian government propaganda. The truth, however, is that non-state media in Russia say that the sanctions have harmed the Russian economy, and quite seriously. For example, currency devaluation, a serious drop in oil prices, from which the Russian government had a very substantial share of its income. If Western agencies had not been slacking off and had also monitored non-state Russian-language media, they probably would not have fallen for the propaganda so easily.
It is interesting that Western agencies have stopped talking about the presence of Russian soldiers in Ukraine, who are undoubtedly there in addition to the separatists, although some Russian media not belonging to the government mention it quite often. A very strange paradox!! The American media have clearly failed.
Alternative media on the Ukrainian conflict draw information from media outlets belonging to the Russian government, quote official press releases from the separatists themselves (which are more or less pure hoaxes), occasionally quote something from pro-Western media that knows practically nothing about the entire conflict, but deliberately censor inconvenient information from Russian media that do not belong to the government.
Will alternative media apologize for their hoaxes when they realize and wake up to the fact that they lied?
Alternative media have constantly bombarded readers with disinformation that Western sanctions have not only not harmed Russia, but have, on the contrary, strengthened it economically. However, Russia's reaction to the second package of US sanctions was extreme, which must be clear even to the most fanatical Russophile propaganda that Western economic sanctions must have really harmed Russia. When will alternative disinformation websites take responsibility for their disinformation? Will they find the courage and apologize for the disinformation cesspool they spread when it became clear in black and white that they were lying?!?!? https://www.etrend.sk/ekonomika/ruske-sankcie-proti-usa-zacinaju-platit-atmosfera-je-napata.htmlAnd why did the alternative media censor even such news? Poverty is dangerously spreading in Russia. Every tenth person does not have money for food. http://hnonline.sk/svet/989220-rusko
It has now become clear that the entire alternative media is just one Russophile piece of trash.
