The second level of protection – building forest roads only with permission. The 5th level of protection is the highest level of protection, we also call it a reservation, there is no intervention, there is a ban on cleaning stream beds, which can cause floods, it is not possible to take measures against the bark beetle, it is forbidden to cut down invasive non-native tree species. Permission for exceptions is a rarity. Activists imagine total non-intervention as the only way to protect nature, which is not always desirable. In the Belianske Tatras, according to all appearances, spruce monocultures are also in the fifth level of protection, which is very bad, because it is not possible to fight the bark beetle in this way. Then rare primeval forests are also attacked by the bark beetle, say the foresters.
