Because the national parks were declared during socialism, after the revolution they became illegal on non-state land and no one has yet legalized them. Why discuss zoning with experts and delay when you can seize large areas in a dictatorial, violent way? The Ministry of the Environment claims that national parks will continue to be managed – in the past, the ministry had many empty promises about compensation that it did not fulfill, and I assume that it will continue its tradition of not keeping promises.

Regarding thesis 1… I might trip over a curb today (but I'll be careful, so hopefully I won't bust my face – I'll speak your language). The number 1023–1489 (exactly 1256 + – some deviation – in case you didn't remember) was in 2014. Seven years have passed since then, and as far as we know, bears also reproduce. The ratio of the bear population is 2:3 in favor of females, which is approximately 251 male bears and 377 female bears. A female bear in today's conditions has 2–4 cubs. If we take the lower limit, i.e., 2 cubs, and consider that not every female bear goes into heat every year, the minimum annual increase is estimated at approximately 380 individuals. In 7 years – 2,660 individuals. If we take the decrease over those years as approximately 800 individuals (which I think is an overestimate), then what number are we dealing with?
Regarding thesis 2… I'll probably sound like a big talker, but the numbers don't lie – The area of forests in the Slovak Republic is approximately 2,200,000 ha. The size of a brown bear's territory is usually 200-400 km2 (for females around 100 km2). With these figures, Mr. Associate Professor, you can also calculate approximately how many bears there should be in Slovakia. Large individuals displace smaller ones, and these, of course, look for new territories, which means they have to look for new shelter, a new food source, which actually confirms your definition of overpopulation.
Regarding thesis 3… well, the current management of the brown bear is worth two things… nothing and shit. The only thing you're really good at is cursing hunters and misleading the lay public.
Regarding thesis 4… there certainly aren't as many vipers, cobras, and rattlesnakes in comparison to the territory as there are bears in Slovakia.
And PS: It seems to me that all modern conservationists are guided by the motto "the worse, the better" so that they can conclude that the forester is behind everything bad – global climate change, fallen wind calamity, overpopulation of bark beetles, change in forest color, fires, synanthropic bears…
