News from the world of media. Cancellation of the show Na telo and others

The most-watched show Na Telo is being cancelled because TV Markíza defended presenter Töröková in her malicious bullying and provocation of the minister for following the rule "human health and life first, then the bear". Töröková spread propaganda against bear regulation. As a result, government politicians began to boycott the show. This culminated in the complete cancellation of the show Na Telo.

It is despicable that Michal Kovačič is spreading easily refutable hoaxes.
Equally despicable is that some media outlets share his statements without a shred of criticism, without pointing out that he is spreading a hoax. Michal Kovačič wanted to violate the Broadcasting and Retransmission Act in a serious way, for which he deserves justified criticism. Having Michal Šimečka in the show without an opponent is illegal and he is rightly sanctioned.
Furthermore, Kovačič concealed that the main reason for the cancellation of his show was Martina Töröková, not the owner.
Apparently, it is also a hoax that Töröková received threats after the conflict with Taraba.

Huge revolt live on air!! Michal Kovačič is lying and is angry at the new Czech owner of TV Markíza, PPF Group, who is cleaning house! The real reason for the show's cancellation is TV Markíza reporter Martina Töröková and the topic of bears. Mr. Kovačič can thank Martina Török, who "cancelled" his show. You can find more information in the video and articles with the following headlines:

Taraba really laid into Markíza editor Törökova

Taraba lashed out at a Markíza editor. She is receiving threats, the television station has responded

The coalition has agreed not to respond to TV Markíza . This is due to the recent conflict between Minister Taraba and its editor.

Who is Kostolný's editor Martin Šimečka , whom Kostolný supports the most? I am deeply concerned about how journalist Martin Šimečka spreads hatred and contributes to the polarization and division of society. Šimečka would easily win the award for the most hateful article of the last 35 years. This is an article titled "Bears hate artists for the same reason: because they are free beings." The strongest and crudest words Šimečka used are in a sentence where he uses the terminology of German Nazis, the phrase "final solution." Such extreme words are so crude that it is unacceptable to use them even if they were a metaphor or hyperbole. He compares bears to Jews, whom voters of coalition parties would wish to exterminate to zero. Dear Mr. Šimečka, watch your words, because you really overshot the mark with this one.

Lukáš Krivošík, an editor of the daily Postoj, made an extremely outrageous statement about priest Marián Kuffa. Krivošík claims that he approves of how priest Kuffa expresses himself towards LGBT people. Mr. Krivošík, do you really approve of those aggressive, pub-like, boorish, hateful statements by priest Kuffa, which are more reminiscent of someone from a madhouse? Yes, unfortunately, priest Kuffa has completely lost his mind. I even heard several Christian fundamentalists complain that Kuffa is too much even for them and that he is damaging the good name of the Catholic Church. Mr. Krivošík is a supporter of an even more extremist direction than Christian fundamentalism. I have no words for editor Krivošík.

A very interesting article about how society in Europe is divided into the extreme right and the extreme left. Both currents are extremists. I can't imagine a better advertisement for the AfD than organizing such a demonstration against them. There were 100,000 demonstrators, so the media certainly mobilized them. A very similar situation exists in Slovakia, where there are also extreme left-wing media. In particular, there is a lot in common between what is happening in Slovakia and Germany.
Unrest in Germany. A massive crowd of progressives is violently trying to prevent the AfD congress in Essen https://echo24.cz/a/HvX8e/svet-zpravy-nepokoje-v-nemecku-mohutny-dav-progresivistu-nasilim-snazi-zabranit-konferenci-afd-essen

Czech media

It's unbelievable that the Czech media are willing to go to such madness and extremes. This is really harsh psychiatry. The guy is pontificating about the craziest conspiracies, hoaxes, and even implicitly approving the assassination of the Prime Minister. The conspiracies are at a level where Bill Gates will microchip you with COVID vaccines. He presents his crazy ravings and psychotic interpretations of political events as facts. The Czech magazine Reflex went to even greater extremes, with a caricature that de facto celebrated the assassination. The Czech media are doing everything to worsen relations between Slovaks and Czechs. Czech journalists live in their own bubble, are completely detached from reality, and create a different Slovakia than it actually is. They try to be more Catholic than the Pope and more extremist than extremists. This is the extreme left.

Negative tendencies are also spreading from Slovakia to the Czech Republic. The inability to come to terms with the election results. Filip Turek had the second-highest number of votes. Aggressive and boorish expression not only among Slovak but also Czech journalists. I don't admire Turek either, but the disproportionately aggressive reaction of the extreme left in the Czech Republic is not right. I also consider labeling Turek as a neo-Nazi based on 15-year-old Facebook statuses to be hate speech from the media. Turek was more likely making dark humor about neo-Nazism than being a convinced neo-Nazi – but the Czech media interpret it their own way. In any case, I don't have high expectations that Turek would bring any positive contribution to politics – on the other hand, total demonization is not right either.
COMMENTARY: Neo-Nazi or moron? Who is the new political star Filip Turek Source: https://www.idnes.cz/zpravy/domaci/filip-turek-europoslanec-prisaha-motoriste-nacismus.A240616_170556_domaci_stud

Even the assassination attempt on the Prime Minister did not inspire Czech journalists to report more objectively. Quite the opposite. How do the Czech media function in terms of commenting on politics in Slovakia?

Czech journalists first look for the most extreme far-left media in Slovakia, such as Denník N. From the most extreme Slovak media, they choose political commentary articles by the most extremist journalist and are inspired by this journalist. However, the Czech journalist wants to be even more Catholic than the Pope and will be even more extreme than the most extremist Slovak journalist. Subsequently, Czech journalists inspire and egg each other on to the greatest possible extremism. They do not verify the information. And the result? The result is a total fiasco. Czech journalists have invented a completely different Slovakia than it actually is. Journalist Bohumil Pečinka and those like him are so extremely detached from reality, they are such extremists that even in Denník N they would be laughed at, considered fools, and refused to cooperate with them. It is tragicomic to see what a closed bubble and their own thought world Czech journalists live in.
When one reads the Czech media, one gets the impression that Slovakia is a banana republic or some kind of dictatorship like in Belarus.
The fact is, however, that the Czech Republic also has major internal political problems, and I don't think the situation in Slovakia is worse than in the Czech Republic. I am a big critic of Slovak journalists, but when I see Czech journalists, I suddenly realize that Slovakia is not doing so badly.
Just as an example that in some parameters Slovak politics is at a better level, Prime Minister Fiala should serve the citizens and not write and present a book during his prime ministerial term. He should have dedicated hundreds of hours of time to writing the book to the service of the people. Fortunately, we do not have such arrogant politicians in Slovakia.

Relations between Slovaks and Czechs are facing the biggest crisis since World War II. This is due to some Czech media and journalists who spread the craziest hoaxes about Slovakia, which reek of hidden racism and chauvinism. Part of the Czech population may be influenced by this propaganda, which can realistically lead to racist prejudices and verbal attacks against Slovak citizens. The author of Reflex.cz, Jiří Sezemský, claims that the Slovak government is preparing to take full control of private media and that the government wants to do this more radically and faster than in Hungary. He accused the minister of being a member of the board of TV Markíza, meaning that a government politician directly manages a private television station. This was a single sentence taken out of context from an hour-long press conference and maliciously and falsely interpreted. Journalists from Reflex.cz have no right to criticize alternative media because they themselves do the same – they have fallen to their level in terms of propaganda and hoaxes.

Czech Radio is seriously violating the law. The law prohibits inviting one-sided guests to programs. Matúš Kostolný represents only a very small part of the Slovak public. Denník N is extreme left and has only minimal influence in Slovakia, with only about 25,000 subscribers. What is completely marginal and extreme in Slovakia is broadcast as mainstream in the Czech Republic. In Slovakia, it is also possible to find moderate center journalists. They are the majority. In order to balance the information, a representative of the Slovak government should be invited to the program. Another problem is that there is very strong evidence that Denník N is the unofficial propaganda press department of the PS party. One of the most active editors of Denník N, Martin Šimečka, who writes the most hateful articles, is the father of the PS party chairman Michal Šimečka.
