The least transparent is Aktuality.sk – during the biggest economic recession between 2020-2022, they almost doubled the number of employees, which is very suspicious in itself – then there is greater dependence on advertisers (among them are corrupt individuals) who dictate terms. The Smer oligarchic group J&T also had advertising in podcasts on Aktuality.sk – it was 365 bank, which at that time belonged to J&T. Aktuality.sk covered up at least one J&T case. It would be better if Aktuality.sk had half as many employees, but they would be much freer and less dependent on oligarchic groups. I publicly call on the media for transparency and demand an explanation as to why they censor major cases for some politicians and publish even minor cases for other selected politicians.
