Analysis of one of the most expensive investigative articles by Aktuality: “Hunters are supposedly the mafia”

https://www.aktuality.sk/clanok/ltNdAbD/kvietik-kmotrik-aj-bodor-kto-poluje-v-reviroch-na-slovensku-a-ako-na-tom-stat-preraba-mapa-a-prehlad/

  • The article has a sensational headline and a sensational illustrative photo. However, this is only to attract the reader's attention, but the article is actually about something completely different. Kvietik, Kmotrík and Bödör are only mentioned marginally.
  • The whole article seems to me as if it was commissioned by far-left extremists in the field of nature protection. The article shows a desperate attempt to tarnish hunting as a whole, while Kvietik, Kmotrík, and Bödör are only mentioned marginally. Left-wing extremists hate hunting for ideological reasons. Ján Budaj also stated several times that hunters as a whole are a political mafia. Aktuality took this absurd, schizophrenic disinformation literally and spent insane amounts of money to confirm Budaj's disinformation. Of course, the article does not contain any real case, and this attempt ended in a total fiasco and failure. Even Aktuality themselves must have been quite shocked when they realized how they had believed their own lies and found nothing at all. This smear campaign was supported to a considerable extent by the BROZ association and perhaps other embezzlers of EU funds.
  • Left-wing extremists, who demonstrably finance Aktuality, have other objections to the Hunting Chamber. The Hunting Chamber has pointed out several of their corruption scandals and the embezzlement of EU funds. The time for revenge has come.
  • Investigative journalists had to work on the article for approximately 6-12 months. Writing such an article must have required an unimaginable amount of work. In the article, they had to find out in how many hunting grounds the state has a majority. Just that alone is extremely complex and time-consuming to find out, because mostly it's about fifty-fifty. I also find it quite bizarre that the journalists pointed out that hunters are also former politicians who have not been active in politics for a good 15-20 years. I consider this an obsession, this is already a diagnosis.
  • The fact that hunting associations do not pay large sums to the state is perfectly fine from the experts' point of view. Hunting is extremely expensive, and hunters pay for it themselves. On the one hand, people complain about overpopulated game, and on the other hand, raising the rent is not rational, because then we can completely demotivate hunters in their desired activity. But Aktuality does nothing but spread disinformation and a hate campaign against hunters and foresters.
  • If only Aktuality would spend such huge financial resources on quality articles about how BROZ and other associations are embezzling EU funds. In that case, it wouldn't end in a humiliating fiasco like this article, where they didn't find anything, but there they would discover truly groundbreaking information that would really help put BROZ and the like in jail.
This article was on the front page of Aktuality for many months. The reason is very simple. When the article cost Aktuality such a crazy amount of money, they tried to promote it as much as possible.
And good morning. We've known for a long time that Bodor and Kvietik are hunters. We haven't learned anything new. A completely useless article.
Of course, I don't want to claim that everything is always in order with hunting ground leases. Yes, corruption and bigwigs exist. But these are completely different problems than what is written in this amateurish, dilettantish article. And next time, the gentlemen journalists could have at least consulted with experts a little so as not to be a complete laughingstock.
I'd also be interested to know who helped Aktualiny with this primitive article. I wouldn't be surprised if it was the controversial association BROZ, VLK and the like.
I would also be interested to know whether all the information that the journalists worked with in this article was legally obtained or whether the police illegally helped them with vetting databases.
Disinformation about Budaj and nature protection is a vicious circle. Journalists have come to believe their own lies. Journalists have become victims of their own lies.
