Uncovering pro-Russian propaganda in alternative media

Alternative media are most easily believed by people of the older generation, because propaganda under socialism was very simple and very clear. Today it is different: propaganda has become much more refined and psychologically thought out. If one reads alternative media and gets drawn into them, one really gets the impression that Russia is the savior of the whole world, Putin is God, the whole West does nothing but fight against Russia, the West and America are our enemy and we must fight against them, we must hate them, George Soros and America are to blame for all the evil in the world and Poroshenko is the second Hitler. So all this beautiful stuff logically fits together. Not everything that appears to be the truth and not everything that sounds logical is really the truth.

What sources of information do alternative media, or various pseudo-analysts working for alternative media, draw from?

Alternative media draw information exclusively from SputnikNews.com and uncritically accept everything written in this medium as truth. They also draw from the Russian Today (RT) television. Furthermore, they draw information from the Russian political analyst Valerij Pjakin.

The problem is that it is no secret, and it is really credible and confirmed information, that SputnikNews.com and Russian Today are owned by the Russian government. So there can be no talk of an independent source of information. Sources of information https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RT_(TV_network) ) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sputnik_(news_agency) ) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rossiya_Segodnya

And analyst Valerij Pjakin? How can Valerij Pjakin be an independent and credible person when he officially works for state-owned media? The government information agency SputnikNews.com openly promotes Valerij Pjakin. Here you can see that all analyses by Valerij Pjakin are published on the Russian government server SputnikNews https://www.google.sk/#q=site:sputniknews.com+valerij+pjakin

Specific facts that prove that alternative media intentionally mislead and misinform

    • The name of the main separatist Igor Girkin Strelkov is very strictly censored in the alternative media, although he is the most important person in the entire Ukrainian conflict. The reason? The reason is very simple: this man does not fit into the propaganda, because Strelkov said without mincing words that the conflict in Ukraine was not unleashed by any innocent partisan-separatists but by professional Russian soldiers. And that censorship in the alternative media allegedly does not exist. More at this link : Ukrainian conflict. The fight of the pro-American and pro-Russian information war.
    • -Serious analyst Alexander Duleba points out that the separatists control only 1/3 of the territory of the so-called Novorossiya, they control only the immediate vicinity of Luhansk and Donetsk. Alternative media have never reported on what part of the territory the separatists actually control, because alternative media are about propaganda, not truth. Talking about the size of the controlled territory does not fit into propaganda, because it clearly proves that the alleged "separatists" do not have the support of the local population. (Source of information Youtube -> Alexander Duleba)
    • -Alternative media have never conducted any polls or interviews with ordinary citizens in Southeast Ukraine. And I guarantee you that they will never do so in the future. The reason? It wouldn't fit the propaganda. The majority of the population of Southeast Ukraine would be equally critical of the separatists and the Ukrainian government. It wasn't the Ukrainian government that started the war, but the so-called "separatists"!! Alternative media are not about the truth, but about ideology.
    • – Disinformation: "The Ukrainian army is committing genocide against the Russian population." Alternative media consider Russian government-owned media to be the only true and infallible source of information. Information about the deliberate shelling of civilian objects evokes very strong emotions in the reader. However, it is not possible to verify whether this is true or disinformation if we only have one source, the Russian government medium sputniknews.com. Although we cannot consider the Ukrainian army to be innocent angels and we cannot rule out that these things would never happen, on the other hand, Russian sources should also be taken with a large grain of salt. To imagine Russian propaganda as pure good and pure truth is very naive, but supporters of alternative media believe in this naivety.
    • -The Minsk ceasefire agreement in Ukraine is strictly censored in alternative media. Alternative media have never published more detailed information on the Minsk Agreement, because the truth would completely destroy Kremlin propaganda. The Minsk Agreement contains exaggerated concessions to the "separatists". The "separatists" have a peace demand, something that is presented to the public as autonomy. But if we read the demands of the "separatists" in more detail, we will find that the "separatists" are not at all interested in peace but in war. When we read in more detail what this alleged "autonomy" is, we find that it is not autonomy but an independent state.
Although in alternative media Poroshenko is presented as a villain who only wants war at all costs and Putin wants peace, the truth is rather the opposite. Peace would only be achieved if Poroshenko signed their "autonomy" for the "separatists", in fact a separate republic, i.e. if the Ukrainians definitively lost the territory of SE Ukraine.
  • Alternative media bombard readers with the hoax that Western economic sanctions have strengthened Russia. Such news appears very often in alternative media. Except that in all Russian-language media that do not belong to the government, the government is criticized for not being able to cope with the very serious economic crisis in Russia that arose due to sanctions. The truth is that the sanctions have really significantly weakened the Russian economy. The lies of the alternative media are really disgusting, something completely different is written in the Russian media.
An open challenge to alternative media: Before you decide to criticize Dennik N, please don't forget to mention that you do exactly the same thing: you manipulate facts one-sidedly. You have nothing to reproach yourselves for – you both do the same thing.
