PPA case. "Pension" case.
Human stupidity knows no bounds. I can't help but marvel at the endless human stupidity, how media readers can fall for such a primitive media bubble as the pension case. It's just a distraction and a smokescreen by the media to fool people with such a micro-case.As an experienced and long-time anti-corruption activist, I think I can comment on this competently.
On the one hand, I don't want to diminish the seriousness of this case, but on the other hand, the media is focusing all its attention on the ant and pretending not to see the elephant. It's a distraction from a large number of other affairs where tens or hundreds of millions were stolen. Why aren't the media interested in why, under Matovič, dozens of dubious companies received extremely generous contracts without a tender process, worth hundreds of millions? Why aren't the media interested in how the BROZ association received 80 million euros for nature protection, when it has been demonstrably and provably stolen by 98%?
Are we really going to be so offended by some guesthouse, a 10-year-old affair from 2015 worth a few hundred thousand?
Is anyone here not digging?
As a person, I am very resistant to media propaganda, and any violent media brainwashing has the exact opposite effect on me. Media propaganda gives the impression that the Smer party is the least corrupt party in the history of Slovak politics, when the media couldn't find anything better on them than a guesthouse for a few hundred thousand 10 years ago.
Perhaps if the whole truth about the whole affair were revealed, we would find more entrepreneurs close to the PS party who also misused this type of subsidy. Maybe we would all be surprised. As a person who sees behind the scenes of media games, I have 100% verified information that the media have clear instructions to censor all PS party scandals.
The fact is that this type of subsidy is more prone to abuse, and this type of subsidy was not abolished even under the allegedly anti-corruption government of Igor Matovič. Why don't media journalists chase Matovič and Heger with a camera and ask why they didn't abolish these subsidies prone to abuse but continued with them?
I have no choice but to repeat: Human stupidity knows no bounds. I can't help but marvel at the endless human stupidity, how media readers can fall for such a primitive media bubble as the pension case. It's just a distraction and a media smokescreen to fool people with such a micro-case.
But for various dimwits and stupid people, this media massage is perfectly sufficient to say, based on the pension case: "Smer people do nothing but steal, and the holy anti-corruption Matovič"
By the way, I consider it an outrageous arrogance of Matovič, who had more corruption scandals than the Smer party, that he has recently presented himself as an anti-corruption activist. His primitive and stupid voters will swallow it. Let his stupid voters find out how things were stolen at Budaj's ministry.
I also consider it an outrageous arrogance of the PS party, when Ján Hargaš, who himself had huge corruption affairs under Matovič at Remišová's ministry for tens of millions, declares himself an anti-corruption activist in the pension case. A thief shouts, "Catch the thief!"
And the media still feed these narratives about the anti-corruption Matovič and the anti-corruption PS party, although the opposite is true.
It is also tragicomic that the media discovered an "affair" that a company received subsidies for several trucks and allegedly used the money to build a car wash. I would be interested to know what evidence the journalists have that the company built the car wash from subsidies and not from its own resources. Secondly, even if it were true, the construction of a medium-sized car wash is significantly lower than the price of a truck. The whole case is also untrustworthy because it was brought up just before Tomáš Zdechovský's arrival, so that the media could propagandistically help the opposition gain some political points.
The truck case, there are only subsidies of 1.5 million, which is still only a ridiculous fraction compared to the subsidies received by the organized criminal group BROZ under Matovič and Ján Budaj. BROZ received at least 25 million euros under Budaj over two years and 80 million over the entire history of the association. 98% of these subsidies were demonstrably and provably stolen. First, let Matovič's people, former minister Budaj, and the leading people from the BROZ association be in jail for corruption, and then, by all means, the police can also deal with the micro-cases of the truck case and the truck case.
My opinion is that it should be "let the chips fall where they may". Let everything be investigated.
Media readers are an endlessly stupid mass and will swallow even the most primitive propaganda from the media.
The head of the EP's Control Committee, Tomáš Zdechovský, allegedly came to inspect Slovakia because of the pension case.
The current opposition, mainly the PS party, has never made a secret of declaring a war to the death on the current government, and they have never made a secret of doing everything they can to make Slovakia lose its EU funds. They enlisted MP Tomáš Zdechovský, whom they apparently misused and persuaded to do so. So far, however, it seems that he came to Slovakia to discuss the government and without the government (as they say "about us without us"), to discuss only with the opposition, which has been convicted several times of spreading lies about the government. So far, we have no information that Zdechovský has met with even one minister, although Minister Taraba has shown great willingness to meet with him. We are waiting for further information.Zdechovský seems disoriented and doesn't even know why he came to Slovakia; he repeatedly changes the reason for his visit. So far, it looks as if he is being directed solely by the Slovak opposition media, merely repeating the media narrative of the Pension case without offering anything of his own.
The fact that the control committee did not allow MEP Ondruš from Hlas to join them under very strange circumstances rightly raises concerns about non-transparency, unfairness, and conspiracy .
The PS party makes no secret of the fact that it is trying to gain the greatest possible political capital from Zdechovský's visit to fool its voters.
Money from the recovery plan was stolen in Slovakia. For example, the corruption subsidies for activists Michal Wiezik and Erik Baláž received almost one million from Budaj. Mr. Zdechovský should look into this. Wiezik is also a Member of the European Parliament.
Zdechovský's inspection at the ministry ended well, peacefully, without any scandals, as Minister Takáč stated. Link1 , link2 .
Tomáš Zdechovský's press conference is a totally undignified and demeaning fiasco.
Racist and condescending remarks about Slovakia and the Slovak nation. According to him, Slovakia is a banana republic, the most corrupt country in the world, where nothing else is done but stealing.Zdechovský criticized the Minister of the Environment, but in the end, he did not have the courage to meet with him, although Minister Taraba himself expressed his willingness to meet with him. Zdechovský reacts to Taraba's criticism over-sensitively, calling the criticism that Taraba declared war on him, Zdechovský is offended and feels sorry for himself. When Mr. Zdechovský thinks that the truth is on his side, why does he not have the courage to meet with Minister Taraba, who expressed interest in the meeting?
When I watched Mr. Zdechovský's press conference, I was terrified by such great hatred against Slovakia. It really seemed as if Zdechovský was doing everything to harm Slovakia as much as possible.
Another huge scandal is that Mr. Zdechovský communicated more with the media than with the government politicians themselves, whom he refused to meet, which is an incredible bizarre. He met with only one government politician, and that was Minister Takáč. What is Zdechovský actually after? To control EU funds or to run a media campaign against the government at the behest of the PS party? He gave a large number of interviews to almost all Slovak media that declared war on the government, he devoted almost all his time to this, but he communicated only briefly with Slovak government politicians. No minister claimed that he did not want to meet with Zdechovský.
Let Mr. Zdechovský first deal with the corruption of the PS party member and member of his delegation, MEP Wiezik, who stole 600,000 euros from the recovery plan for his Aevis foundation, and then let him deal with the Slovak government. It is also completely perverse that at Zdechovský's press conference, Wiezik moralized about the alleged corruption of the Slovak government when he himself is a corrupt person. It is also quite possible that MEPs are forbidden to take any EU subsidies and Wiezik violated this ban.
Furthermore, Mr. Zdechovský was extremely offended that Prime Minister Fico refused to meet with him. Mr. Zdechovský has an ego bigger than the universe if he thinks that a prime minister, who holds a far higher and more respected position than MEPs, is obliged to obey a small handful of ordinary MEPs.
Mr. Zdechovský is also lying in a very primitive way when he claims that it was not the PS party but people from his party who asked him to go and carry out an inspection in Slovakia. It was certainly only the PS party behind it. As an anti-corruption activist, I am very well-versed in politics, but I am only now hearing for the first time from the media that there is such a control committee of the European Parliament that visits individual countries for the purpose of controlling EU funds. It is highly unlikely that many people would write to him about such an unknown EU institution, which I, as an anti-corruption activist who has filed complaints with OLAF, the European Anti-Fraud Office, am hearing about for the first time. The only person who wrote to Mr. Zdechovský was me, and it concerned a completely different corruption that he refused to deal with on his mission in Slovakia, corruption that is supported by a member of the delegation himself, Michal Wiezik, the embezzlement of LIFE EU funds for nature protection. I also sent Mr. Zdechovský information about the corruption of Michal Wiezik, who received corrupt subsidies for his Aevis foundation. However, Mr. Zdechovský refused to meet with Minister Taraba, who would have gladly given him evidence of how a member of the delegation himself, MEP Michal Wiezik, embezzled subsidies from the recovery plan.
Conflict of Czech MEPs. One hates Slovakia, the other defended it.
The final press conference is also interesting. MEP Ondřej Knotek, who was a member of the ANO party delegation, expressed clear disagreement with the chauvinistic attitude of his colleague Zdechovský (KDU-ČSL), which was based solely on hatred of Slovaks and disinformation. While Zdechovský behaved like a psychopath obsessed with hatred, Mr. Knotek's demeanor was dignified and respectful, and he indirectly apologized for his colleague.
(Updated 3.6.2025)
I consider Ľuboš Blaha to be a total idiot, but some of his arguments are interesting.Ondřej Knotek X
Ondřej Knotek reacts to Zdechovský's psychotic conspiracy theories about persecution by the Slovak secret services.
I can completely safely RULE OUT any pressure on the mission participants by the Slovak security forces. If my colleague Mr. Zdechovský claims that he was "persecuted" by "secret" services in Slovakia, then I recommend that he either watch better spy movies or change his "stuff"🤭
A press conference at which the disinformation of the opposition and activist political journalists was crushed to dust.
