The word that best describes the State Nature Protection is corruption, money laundering, and legalization of income from criminal activity. Currently, 90% of all organized crime and corruption in Slovakia is concentrated in the State Nature Protection. At first, I naively thought that nature protection would gradually start to clean itself of crime. It turned out that I was very wrong. It is true that if investigative journalism worked in Slovakia and if the media had a serious interest in this topic, the ice would start to move and things would change for the better. The media has enormous power. However, journalists are bigger scoundrels than politicians and behave more like PR marketing agencies for their favorite political parties. And they try to liquidate their unpopular politicians, sometimes in a legitimate way, sometimes not. Several influential corrupt journalists even actively spread disinformation on the topic of nature protection in favor of corrupt groups. They do not have the same standard for the corruption of political parties. However, due to the media, this cleansing process could be extended for the next 10 to 20 years.
In Slovakia, there is a bizarre corruption scheme where dubious private nature protection organizations receive subsidies from EU funds and the state budget, and then use this money to finance and sponsor the State Nature Protection. Let’s not forget that the employees of the State Nature Protection are officials, they are public officials who approve very important official decisions. Information can even be publicly found on the official websites of the ministry and private organizations that this is how it works. According to this publicly available information , these people can be caught and imprisoned if there was a will of the law enforcement authorities.
The State Nature Protection is a money laundering scheme. Over the course of one electoral term, i.e. four years, this amounts to hundreds of millions.
This is nothing more than a bribe in an official form, the legalization of income from criminal activity, i.e. embezzlement.
Private corrupt conservation associations thus become unofficial shareholders of the State Nature Protection. Whoever finances dictates the terms. From practice, I know many examples where employees of the State Nature Protection treat private conservation associations as their superiors.
The most tragicomic thing is that Igor Matovič calls Fico and Kaliňák thieves, even though Matovič himself couldn’t keep his minister Budaj from stealing. A thief shouts, “Catch the thief!” Objectively, we can say that Budaj stole more than his predecessor Žiga, and this can be proven with real numbers.
The State Nature Protection and the Ministry of the Environment are institutions so thoroughly rotten with corruption that it would be good if both were completely abolished and established anew from scratch. The main thing is that the media pretends this problem doesn’t exist.
I often hear opinions that the State Nature Protection and the Ministry of the Environment should be completely abolished because not only are they corrupt, but they are also rotten with left-wing extremism and therefore do more harm than good. It is really true, no one would miss either institution at all.
A very painful compromise would be to make huge personnel changes in both institutions. All corrupt senior employees who were most involved in corruption should be dismissed so that both institutions can be cleansed.
Imagine the absurdity if there was some big developer bigwig who, through the Ministry of Transport, received huge EU funds and then poured 10 to 20% of these EU funds into financing a building authority that would grant this developer various dubious permits in a conflict of interest and often in violation of the law.
The State Nature Protection has exactly the same scheme.
The salary of every single employee of the State Nature Protection also includes the bribe they received from private conservation organizations. There is not a single employee of the State Nature Protection who is not part of this corruption scheme; there is not a single honest, principled person with a clear conscience working in this organization.
On the one hand, we see a war of the police against two secret services based on false accusations and manipulation of the investigation, and on the other hand, the police are not addressing these corruption schemes.
Merger of the Ministry of the Environment with the Ministry of Agriculture
I am very familiar with the situation at the Ministry of the Environment and I can tell you with certainty that there is not a single expert on forest ecosystems working there, not a single graduate of the Faculty of Forestry, where forest ecology is discussed in incredible detail.
The situation is pure psychiatry. It is as absurd as if not a single doctor with a medical degree worked at the Ministry of Health. The media is silent and tension in the countryside is growing.
On the contrary, the Ministry of Agriculture employs people educated in forest ecosystems. If such madness is happening in Slovakia, then left-wing journalists should not be surprised why there is so much tension in the countryside and why the elections turned out the way they did.
Nothing would happen if the Ministry of the Environment merged with the Ministry of Agriculture. After all, it worked that way for many years and no one complained. It is neither a novelty nor an experiment.
No one will miss the Ministry of the Environment. The only thing that will change is that there will be one less washing machine for dirty money. The ministry, full of dilettantes and fanatical left-wing extremists on the level of the Letzte Generation movement, like section directors Katarína Butkovská and Ďurkošová, will also not be missed by anyone, perhaps except for extremely left-wing Bratislava journalists.
In August 2021, Ján Budaj claimed at a press conference that under his predecessor, Minister László Sólymos, 130 million euros went to NGOs in nature protection. Under Budaj’s leadership, this number has undoubtedly increased several times, and even the new minister will not be able to prevent the contracts that Budaj signed there.
The 130 million are only the LIFE program subsidy schemes, the other hundreds of millions from the recovery plan are not yet included.
Budaj distributed approximately 400 million to “his people”, but the efficiency of using these funds does not exceed 10 percent.
I would like to remind you that the SaS party also voted for the law that turned national parks into money laundering machines. The Sme rodina party did not vote for it.
BROZ Association vs. Aktuality.sk
Journalist Jana Kubisová is once again shining 😃. I have evidence that Aktuality.sk is paid by the organized criminal group BROZ, a fake environmental association that has become fabulously rich from the pretended protection of nature, which received an incredible 80 million euros in subsidies, mainly from Budaj’s Ministry of the Environment, through EU funds. The efficiency of the use of financial resources is only about 10%. The remaining 90% is simply stolen. The fact that Aktuality.sk is bribing the BROZ association, which directly managed Budaj, was even confirmed to me by an Aktuality employee!!! She told me this, but on the condition that I would keep silent about her name. The goal of bribing the Aktuality.sk editorial office is to write misleading propaganda articles in favor of corrupt groups that have turned nature protection into a money laundering scheme.
