What is the definition of peace according to Russian propaganda? (Updated 30.3. 2025)

What is the definition of peace according to Russian propaganda?

There is a war in Ukraine. And especially in Slovakia, there is a lot of talk about peace. Paradoxically, the people who believe the most in Russian propaganda and defend or downplay Russian aggression in Ukraine are the ones who shout the word "peace" the loudest.
Slovakia has the highest percentage of people who believe Russian propaganda; they lack critical and analytical thinking and cannot even distinguish between two opposing things: war and peace.
Although it may be seen as positive that Robert Fico supports Ukraine in the EU and based on domestic policy, he continues to loudly preach Russian propaganda about peace at the verbal level. This is far more dangerous than when he was in opposition because, as the highest-ranking politician, he receives a lot of media space and has a high following on social networks.
What is my opinion? Yes, and I want peace as soon as possible, but not the kind that Russian propaganda preaches.
It is also very sad that political points can be gained from hateful anti-Ukrainian rhetoric. For example, Monika Beňová, a politician for the Smer party, claimed in eReport during the pre-election campaign for the European elections that the European Union is making the biggest mistake by financially supporting Ukraine to wage war against Russia. Even a staunch neo-Nazi politician would not be ashamed of such a "beautiful" cynical statement. The MEP did not understand who is the aggressor and who is the victim in this conflict, and she did not understand that it was not Ukraine that attacked Russia, but Russia that attacked Ukraine. From an ethical point of view, it is reprehensible and condemnable if any politician expresses themselves in such a way when defending Russian aggression and war crimes.
Robert Fico does not shy away from making similar statements to Beňová.

What does Russian propaganda or pro-Kremlin politicians mean by the term peace?

Above all, they are bothered by the fact that Ukraine is defending itself against Russian aggression. They would like to deny Ukraine the right to defend itself. And mainly by preventing Ukraine from receiving support, including military support. People who believe Russian propaganda do not understand that Ukraine can only defend itself militarily. While Russian propaganda and pro-Russian politicians are very bothered that Ukraine has the audacity and impudence to defend itself against Russian aggression by military means, how else, on the other hand, I have never heard from pro-Russian politicians like Fico that he called on Russia to desist from aggression.
Russian propaganda understands the term peace as denying Ukraine the right to defend itself.
The word peace has been properly profaned under the influence of Russian propaganda. Russian propaganda, under the term peace, only means defending and legitimizing Russian aggression in Ukraine.

What does Russian propaganda mean by the term peace negotiations?

Russian propagandists, such as Eduard Chmelár, a passionate defender of Russian aggression and a Kremlin influencer, like to repeat that the evil West does not want peace negotiations between Ukraine and Russia.
First of all, my personal opinion is that I am in favor of peace negotiations. However, I do not want peace negotiations like those desired by the Kremlin and the Kremlin influencer Eduard Chmelár, where all of Russia's demands would be met without asking for Ukraine's opinion.
And again, there is a strange paradox that those who most loudly call for peace negotiations are precisely pro-Kremlin propagandists and politicians such as Fico , who spread hatred against Ukraine and defend or downplay Russian aggression and war crimes.
In the peace negotiations, we cannot demand that Ukraine withdraw all weapons, and the Russians should keep all weapons and ammunition in Ukraine. However, servants of the Kremlin such as Chmelár, Fico, and Danko imagine peace negotiations in exactly this way, and they do not even hide it.
Another thing is that Russia is the last one that wants peace talks. The need for peace talks is not a topic for Russian politicians. Russia has always spread different propaganda at home and in the West. While Russian propaganda in the West tries to give the impression that Russia wants peace talks, on the contrary, at home, Russian politicians do not say a word about peace or peace talks because they would take it as a weakness, and Russian state television talks about the need to occupy not only Ukraine but also to advance further west, annex the Baltic countries, annex Western Europe, and calls for dropping atomic bombs on London, Washington DC, and so on. Yes, you heard correctly, it is a fairly common topic for Russian state television and propagandists, when they call on the Russian government to drop atomic bombs on Western cities.
It is also very naive to think that such a criminal regime as Russia would adhere to any peace treaties on a ceasefire. You don't sign treaties with Satan. A ceasefire would only be beneficial for one side, only for Russia to produce weapons and replenish ammunition for another attack. I don't know where so much cynicism comes from in people who believe Russian propaganda, when they want to prolong the war and help Russian aggression.
We also see that the West made a huge mistake with the Minsk agreements. The Minsk agreements only had the effect of giving Russia time to produce weapons and ammunition to attack the whole of Ukraine. It is therefore naive to think that Russia will respect any ceasefire agreements when it has already violated them. Russian propaganda is lying to people.
If democratic countries were to agree to Russia's game, it would create a dangerous precedent, the security architecture of the whole world would collapse, and any local dictator, as a stronger country, would invade a weaker country and expect the international community to somehow forgive him through later peace negotiations and legitimize his annexation. Such a thing would result in wars all over the world, as was the case during the Second World War.

Assessment of the current military conflict between Russia and Ukraine

We would all wish for this military conflict to end as soon as possible. Unfortunately, there are no easy and quick solutions to this conflict. World War II lasted 6 years. I estimate the Russian-Ukrainian conflict to last 3 to 6 years.
I expected that democratic Western countries would be able to adapt their economies more quickly to military support for Ukraine. Apparently, bad political decisions are also to blame. It's strange that the EU has somehow fallen silent on the issue of joint ammunition procurement for Ukraine. It's quite possible that Orbán blocked it. The West's weak flexibility unnecessarily prolongs the war.
Both sides have a major problem with the lack of ammunition, and ammunition plays the most important role in this exhausting conflict.
Sanctions against Russia are certainly significantly decimating the Russian economy. I disagree with analysts who underestimate this factor. It is enough to significantly limit the Russian army, but it is not enough for a complete collapse.
Few people realize the great importance of Western sanctions against Russia back in 2014. They were very painful and effectively limited and demotivated Russia, delaying the invasion by eight years.
I estimate that after 3 to 5 years from the start of the war in Ukraine, a very serious economic collapse of Russia may occur.

What is Fico's real opinion on Ukraine?

It is quite possible that Fico decided to help Ukraine under pressure not only from the Hlas party but also from representatives of the Smer party, such as Robert Kaliňák.

The ethical and philosophical dimension of the conflict in Ukraine. Supporting Russian aggression in Slovakia

Slovakia is the country with the largest percentage of fans of Russian aggression in Ukraine. This is not good, because it may happen that Slovakia will heavily burden its collective karma. Something like a "God's punishment" for Slovakia may not be unrealistic if we continue to approve or downplay Russia's military aggression and war crimes.

Hybrid warfare, alternative media, anti-vaxxerism

I was looking at the statistics and Slovakia is second to last in terms of COVID vaccination among EU countries. Too high a percentage of people in Slovakia believe that Bill Gates created COVID to poison and microchip us with vaccines.
When it comes to hybrid threats, we are the worst off in Slovakia.
On the other hand, to be objective, mainstream media are not objective in some specific areas. Some mainstream media on the topic of ecology and nature protection spread the same amount of hoaxes and propaganda as alternative media on COVID.
The positive aspect of alternative media was that they did not censor information about corruption in nature conservation. Each type of media is more objective in a different topic.
It is a great shame that in some parameters, even alternative media have surpassed mainstream media.
It is similar with political parties. Every political party is good in some area and in some parameter, but in another parameter, it fails completely. When all the parameters of political parties are averaged, we find that the lesser evil among political parties practically does not exist.

Part 2

Due to strong propaganda, people are very disoriented and confused. They confuse the concepts of peace and war.

Not every person who has fallen for Russian propaganda is morally corrupt and supports modern Russian Nazism/fascism. Russian propaganda is presented to the public in a very sophisticated form. The propaganda is spread by Kremlin influencers, who are highly likely paid by the Russian embassy, such as Eduard Chmelár, as certain indications point to this. It is sad that Eduard Chmelár even gets space in mainstream media. Furthermore, Russian propaganda is spread by many top politicians, such as Andrej Danko.
The problem is that the biggest warmongers like Chmelár or Danko are the ones who most often invoke the word peace.
Unfortunately, at least half of the people are very stupid and easily manipulated, and they fall for these hoaxes of warmongering hidden under noble concepts of some strange, profaned pseudo-peace.

One of the most successful hoaxes in history: "Western military support for Ukraine prolongs the war"

The hoax was most successful in Slovakia, but its success has been recorded throughout Europe and the USA.
What is the truth?
The most effective solution to end the war is if the aggressor, Russia, decides to end the war, if Russian politicians decide to stop killing Ukrainians and withdraw their army from Ukraine. However, as long as Putin does not want to make this decision, the only solution to end the war as quickly as possible is to provide as much military support to Ukraine as possible.
The hoax that "Western military support for Ukraine prolongs the war" appeared at the beginning of the war. At first, I thought that such absurd nonsense would quickly fizzle out and burst like a bubble, but I was wrong. On the contrary, this propaganda narrative is repeated even more often than at the beginning of the war two years ago. Two years ago, it would not have occurred to me in my wildest dreams that this senseless and illogical hoax would be used so often that it would be worth writing an entire article about it.
And if the desolates are so bothered by Western support for Ukraine, then let them complain to Putin. The most effective way to get the West to stop militarily supporting Ukraine is for Putin to decide to withdraw his army beyond Ukraine's borders and end the war.
The fascists are bothered by military support for Ukraine, i.e. the supply of weapons and ammunition to the front. So, if the fascists have such a demand for the West, why don't they have the same demand for Russia and the Russian army? Why don't they have the same demand for the aggressor, that Russia and the Russian government should also stop supplying weapons and ammunition to the front? A strange contradiction of people who have fallen for Russian propaganda. Russian propagandists consider the fact that Ukraine is defending itself and that Ukraine has the right to defend itself as aggression against Russia. Russian propaganda makes Russia the victim and Ukraine the aggressor. It makes Ukraine the aggressor and Russia the victim.
The hoax that "Western military support for Ukraine prolongs the war" is ugly fascist warmongering propaganda that turns the aggressor into a victim and the victim into an aggressor, making Ukraine the aggressor and Russia the victim.
Any propagandist or politician who says that "military support for Ukraine from the West prolongs the war" is a warmonger who supports Russian aggression and is against peace, is a person who considers Ukraine to be the aggressor and not Russia.
People in Slovakia are so strongly manipulated and disoriented by propaganda that they confuse the concepts of war and peace and cannot distinguish between them.
A very strange contradiction of the self-proclaimed "pacifist" Eduard Chmelár, who was very bothered by the US military involvement in Iraq, but supports Russia's military aggression and the killing of Ukrainians. Chmelár is also not bothered by the fact that after the departure of the US army from Afghanistan, the Taliban came to power again. Chmelár also supports terrorism.
It's sad that such a perverted fascist gets so much media space.

Imagine that a hoax of similar logic to the one spreading today, that "Western military support for Ukraine prolongs the war," was spreading during World War II, for example, in Great Britain.
Imagine that the following article appeared in the press from the period of the Second World War:
" We must close all arms companies in Great Britain because it prolongs the war. Fighting Hitler is a mistake because we are going against peace. We must satisfy Hitler in all his demands at all costs so that there is peace, we must submit and surrender to Hitler in everything."
And yes, this is the logic of our current desolates, who, in the face of Russian aggression in Ukraine, say that "military support for Ukraine from the West prolongs the war." These people would like to submit to the modern-day Hitler, Putin, in everything.

Under the influence of Russian propaganda, the word peace has been totally profaned. Just as the concept of patriotism has been profaned.

I almost jumped out of my chair when I heard that during Harabin's presidential campaign, the desolate called him a "national patriotic candidate". Bowing to Putin and licking Putin's soles has absolutely nothing to do with patriotism or national sovereignty, but it is just an ordinary betrayal of Slovakia to Russia. While Korčok's haters call him an American agent who would sell us out to America, in reality, it is much more fitting for Harabin that he would sell us out to Russia.
What would best describe Harabin is that he is an anti-national and anti-patriotic candidate.

Russian propaganda: anyone who claims that Ukraine has the right to defend itself is a warmonger

We live in a bad and difficult time, when anyone who says that Ukraine has the right to defend itself against Russian aggression is labeled a warmonger and a person who is against peace. Throughout Europe , far-right politicians are repeating these narratives. At least in Slovakia, in the public space, we hear Russian propaganda about the conflict in Ukraine far more than real facts. The media also played a bad role in this matter. The media got carried away by too great passions against the government of Robert Fico, they are waging an open war against the government, they are doing propaganda including hoaxes, they often criticize, scare, and demonize even many positive reforms of the current government (for example, in the field of nature protection), but at the same time they completely forgot that they should focus their communication on the fight against Russian propaganda.

I consider it very dangerous and aggressive propaganda when anyone who recognizes that Ukraine has the right to defend itself (which is not possible without military support from the West) is labeled a warmonger against peace. Anyone who spreads such propaganda is doing nothing but defending Russian aggression and is against peace.

When it comes to PR marketing, Russian propaganda has the upper hand.

It must be said openly that Russian propaganda is pulling the longer end, especially in the area of PR marketing. The liberal media, which would be expected to be a counterweight to Russian propaganda in this area, have rested on their laurels and their activities have been limited to hatred against the government, which is not always based on truth. It would be better if the liberal media focused on creating a communication PR marketing counterweight against Russian propaganda. But that is not happening.
I have as much of a heavy heart for the media as I do for the opposition leader Michal Šimečka. As an influential politician, he could also focus on marketing against Russian propaganda and thus positively influence public opinion. Instead, the PS party is fighting the current government too aggressively, while about half of the criticism of the current government is stupid hate and hoaxes. The same goes for the media.
It must be said openly that the Russian hybrid war and Russian propaganda are truly ingenious. It has cleverly turned the aggressor into a victim and the victim into an aggressor. The biggest warmongers and the biggest defenders of Russian propaganda, such as Fico's advisor Eduard Chmelár, pretend to be the biggest peacemakers and accuse all people who claim that Ukraine has the right to defend itself of being warmongers against peace. Pro-Russian politicians and propagandists claim that Western military support for Ukraine prolongs the war. Such absurd nonsense would only make sense if Ukraine, through the West, had started a war against Russia. At the time of writing this article, approximately two and a half years have passed since the outbreak of the war, and to this day, neither Russia nor anyone else has provided any evidence that such a thing happened. Russia started the war and can end it whenever it wants.
And by the way, in this too, Russian propaganda is truly brilliant in terms of manipulation and PR marketing, as it has diverted attention from the essence of the matter, that Russia started the war. Attention is very cleverly diverted, and all sorts of arguments are sought that directly or indirectly blame Ukraine and the West for the war. For example, the narrative that Western military support for Ukraine artificially prolongs the war. This narrative would only make sense if Ukraine had started the war, but Russian propaganda deliberately avoids the fact that Russia started the war.
Even an imbecile with an IQ of 30% can understand that Russia invaded Ukraine and not the other way around. Nevertheless, Russian propaganda says something else. And that is precisely why the media and opposition politicians should make it their duty to repeat this thing over and over again until people are sick of it. Repetition is the mother of wisdom. Repetition of this thing is never enough. It is important for public opinion.

Eduard Chmelár. Peacemaker or warmonger?

Eduard Chmelár, an aggressive defender of Russian propaganda and a warmonger, claims that he would even lay down his life for peace between Russia and Ukraine. We saw how seriously he meant it in the program Na telo, when the moderator asked him if peace could be achieved by Russia withdrawing from Ukraine. Chmelár was furious at this question and reacted very irritably. The biggest self-proclaimed peacemaker in Slovakia has become the biggest warmonger, defending Russian aggression. And as he himself admitted on Facebook, he was still very restrained with his anger in the program.
And after all, Chmelár has long claimed that Ukraine and the West caused the war, but he very cleverly avoided the topic that Russia started the war. When the moderator asked a question, he could no longer avoid this topic, and the Bolshevik Chmelár was nicely exposed as a warmonger.
Putin's propagandist Eduard Chmelár rejected the idea that it would be good for Putin to end the war and withdraw the Russian army from Ukraine. At this suggestion, Chmelár was offended, angered, and mocked the moderator, calling it a "naive opinion." It was evident that the question had extremely angered and irritated Chmelár.
The most famous influencer of Russian propaganda in Slovakia, the Bolshevik Chmelár, has controversial statements. On the one hand, he very loudly calls for a false Russian "peace", on the other hand, he expresses himself as a warmonger. He is known for downplaying Russian aggression in Ukraine and claiming that the West is to blame.

Robert Fico

I am also very sorry about the assassination attempt on Robert Fico. Just before the assassination attempt, Fico toned down his anti-Ukrainian rhetoric and the spread of Russian propaganda against Ukraine. Overall, since the beginning of his term, his anti-Ukrainian rhetoric has gradually subsided until he almost completely stopped speaking Russian. propaganda about Ukraine . I am very sorry that after the assassination attempt, Fico is spreading the same radical propaganda about Ukraine as he did at the beginning of his rule in 2023.

I defend Russian aggression, but I am for peace.

Chmelár and his ilk claim that "I defend Russian aggression but I am for peace," which in itself is a contradiction. Nevertheless, many people fall for this propaganda. Chmelár claims that everyone is bad, only the Russian aggressor is good. The West is bad, Ukraine is bad, Europe that supports Ukraine is bad, only Russia as an aggressor is good. I have never heard Chmelár criticize Russia for military aggression and for missiles on civilians.

A fake peace treaty by Russian propagandists

I consider the proposed false peace treaty by Russian propagandists to be dangerous propaganda, as it is extremely advantageous for Russia and extremely disadvantageous for Ukraine, meaning the freezing of the conflict at the current front line. Such a treaty would not be a compromise on Russia's part and an extremely large compromise on Ukraine's part. Anyone who spreads such a parody of a peace treaty is doing nothing but defending Russian aggression. Every treaty must be properly balanced. Ukraine must not be punished for being attacked by Russia. On the contrary, Russia, as the aggressor, must make the greatest possible compromise in the peace treaty, one that will hurt it, meaning the withdrawal of its army ideally from all, but at least from part of the majority of the occupied territory.

Defending Russian aggression from a psychological perspective

Russian propaganda is ingenious in that people who defend Russian aggression and the Russian fascist regime can justify their beliefs in their unclean conscience with contradictory propaganda that "we are for peace". Although we approve of Russian aggression, we are for peace.
We are for peace, and all those who claim that Ukraine has the right to defend itself are warmongers.

Political campaign: it pays to be pro-Russian

From the point of view of public opinion, it is advantageous for politicians to preach Russian propaganda, because you gain preferences and political points from it. On the other hand, politicians also shape public opinion with their statements, and it does not matter whether it is a coalition or opposition politician. If Robert Fico clearly condemned the military aggression in Ukraine, it would have a favorable impact on public opinion. If a politician preaches Russian propaganda, it is very irresponsible of him, because he convinces more people in public opinion that Russian aggression is okay.

Eduard Chmelár hates Ukrainians. He was angered that Šefčovič condemned Russian aggression.

At the end of the video/status, the right-wing extremist, fascist, self-proclaimed analyst Eduard Chmelár was infuriated that Maroš Šefčovič condemned Russian aggression and expressed solidarity and empathy with Ukraine with the statement "we are all Ukrainians".

I'm nothing, I'm a musician. I want good for Ukrainians, but at the same time I hate Ukrainians and I support Russian aggression.

Conspiracy theorist Anka Žitná interviewed political failure and outsider Vladimír Palko. The title of the video is "The West de facto tells Ukrainians: die, die, die," thinks Vladimír Palko.
https://youtu.be/y5Pb6TAjPik?si=AM9DDjmXvwjMwfm7
Sympathizers of Russian fascism try to argue in favor of their support for Russian aggression by pretending that they actually want what is best for Ukraine and Ukrainians. Similar propaganda to that of Vladimír Palko is spread by many propagandists and extremist politicians, not only in Slovakia but also abroad.
To portray Ukrainians as mentally retarded and incompetent fools who are exploited by the West is absurd, unfounded, and smacks of hatred and hidden racism against Ukrainians. When it comes to Ukrainians, pro-Russian fascists suddenly forget the ideology of Slavic reciprocity, but that's just a side note.
Dear Mr. Vladimír Palko, you forgot that Ukrainians are dying because of Russia and Russian aggression, not because of the West. The West is not the aggressor, Russia is the aggressor. University lecturer Vladimír Palko pretends to be so stupid that he can't even count to five.
In other words, Vladimír Palko said with his statement, "I'm nothing, I'm a musician. I want what's good for Ukrainians, but at the same time I hate Ukrainians and I'm rooting for Russian aggression."

Ukrainian-Hungarian oil crisis

The disinformation scene, together with far-right politicians, is trying to make the most of the Ukrainian-Hungarian oil crisis. Fascist politicians finally have an excuse to spread a lot of hatred against Ukraine and at the same time legitimize Russian propaganda about the Russian war in Ukraine.
Andrej Danko recorded a video where he claims that Zelensky is a dangerous madman and that we will not survive without Russia. A video ripe for psychiatric examination. A politician who boasts of patriotism and sovereign politics behaves like a Russian agent, like Putin's stooge.
I am not happy with the situation either, but the diplomatic conflict between Ukraine and Hungary is understandable. Ukraine's frustration is understandable. Hungary has long been blocking defense aid to Ukraine in the EU, blocking the reimbursement of the defense industry in the EU, which prolongs the war, strengthens the Russian aggressor and weakens Ukraine's sovereignty.
Another shocking and outrageous video was recorded by Robert Fico, who is upset that the West is supporting Ukraine's defense, which is weakening Nazi Russia. But what is the truth? Russia is weakening itself because it can end the war at any time. Moreover, the weakening of the current Nazi Russia is something positive because it is a criminal regime. Russia must be weakened to such an extent that it is not dangerous for the surrounding countries.

Peace talks shortly after the start of the Russian war in Ukraine

The disinformation scene and various Russian propagandists like to argue that the West is to blame for the war in Ukraine because shortly after the start of the Russian war, there were peace negotiations that only became public later. Allegedly, Boris Johnson was the key person who was against peace, but otherwise, peace was supposedly within reach.
We have little information about these negotiations, and Russian propaganda will take things out of context and distort what it needs.
From the limited information we have, Russia's peace demands were unrealistic. The Russian side demanded the complete surrender of the Ukrainian army, which in practice would mean that today Slovakia would probably border the Nazi Russian Federation, the Russian army would be on the borders with Slovakia today and might even enter the territory of Slovakia.

Communication manual against Russian propaganda

Russian propaganda has a much longer reach in terms of PR marketing. That's why it often happens that even people who clearly condemn Russian aggression adopt some phrases from Russian propaganda, including me.

Incorrect phrase: Ukrainian War, Russian-Ukrainian Conflict, Ukrainian-Russian War
Correct phrase: Russian war against Ukraine, Russian war in Ukraine, Russian aggression against Ukraine
(Note: incorrect word phrases subliminally lead to the indication that this is a conflict caused by Ukraine or a conflict with an unclear aggressor)

Incorrect phrase: supplying weapons to Ukraine
Correct phrase: providing defense assistance to Ukraine, supplying defense industry products
(Note: the phrase "providing defense assistance to Ukraine" is better, so that Russian propaganda does not misuse it for the propaganda "supplying weapons prolongs the war")

It is a great pity that the media and opposition politicians devote disproportionately much energy to the war against the current government, often demonizing some positive government reforms (not just real mistakes), instead of dedicating their energy to the fight against Russian propaganda.

What would it look like if we transferred Russian propaganda about the war against Ukraine to World War II?

These examples should be repeated endlessly to people who have fallen for Russian propaganda, to show them and make them realize how absurd the propaganda they fell for is. The example will be Hitler's attack on Poland.

Present: The USA, through Ukraine, "really" threatened Russia; the USA and the West provoked Russia, so Putin did nothing terrible when he militarily attacked Ukraine, because Putin is practically just defending himself (e.g., Eduard Chmelár, either directly or indirectly, preaches exactly this propaganda).
WW2: Britain and France quietly and secretly threatened Nazi Germany militarily through Poland. Britain and France provoked Hitler, so that "poor" Hitler felt threatened. Therefore, Hitler actually did nothing wrong by occupying Poland.

Present: I am for peace, but I do not criticize Putin in his aggression, I avoid the topic that Russia is an aggressor, but what bothers me is the West's defensive aid to Ukraine, arms supplies for defense prolong the war. Politicians who support Ukraine's military defense are warmongers who prolong the war.
WW2: it didn't really happen, but let's imagine that during WW2, during Hitler's war against Poland, Britain and France started supplying Poland with weapons so that it could defend itself against Nazi aggression, and the following propaganda would spread: "I am for peace, but I don't criticize Hitler, but I am very bothered by the warmongers Britain and France, who are prolonging Hitler's war by supplying weapons to Poland, thus complicating the military aggression for 'poor' Hitler, complicating his military occupation of the whole of Poland."

Propaganda from the opposite side: The Czech ammunition initiative will allegedly change the balance of fighting in Ukraine

Left-wing extremists among Czech journalists, such as Bohumil Pečinka, have turned into political activists who praise Fiala's government in a biased way. They talk about the Czech Republic and the Czech government as a global player that is supposedly going to save Ukraine with the Czech ammunition initiative.
Well, Mr. Pečinka and Michopulos, first of all, you should not spread some kind of strange nationalism that overestimates the importance of the Czech Republic. Instead of so much pride, a little humility would be better.
What is the truth?
The ammunition initiative ended in a fiasco. There will be much less ammunition than promised. In the end, most of the ammunition was supplied by Slovak arms factories from the pro-Russian Slovakia so hated by Pečinka.

Russian propaganda: Ukraine allegedly has no right to defend itself against Russian aggression

Russian propagandists and pro-Russian politicians are most irritated by the West's support for Ukraine's defense through military supplies. They try to argue that this prolongs the war.
I am very sorry that pro-Western politicians and pro-Western media are doing their job in a completely disastrous way. They devote disproportionately much energy to the total political liquidation of Robert Fico and too little energy to questioning Russian propaganda.
The West would prolong the war only on the condition that Ukraine would wage an offensive war, military aggression against Russia and on the territory of Russia. But that is not the case. The situation is exactly the opposite.
I don't know how a country that is defending itself can prolong the war.
Every pro-Russian propagandist who claims that Ukraine has no right to defend itself should be accused by the opposing side of defending Russian aggression, because that is literally what it is.
The situation in Slovakia is bad. Russian propaganda is pulling the longer end of the stick, it is far more assertive and aggressive than people in the public space who are on the side of Ukraine. Pro-Russian propagandists, who claim to defend Russian aggression, put themselves in the role of "peacekeepers" and "pacifists" who are against arms supplies, and anyone who claims that Ukraine has the right to defend itself is accused of being a warmonger. I am very sorry that I see very weak argumentation and a very weak reaction to its questioning of this Russian propaganda in the public space.

(Updated 23.10.2024)

Is the fake peacemaker Eduard Chmelár paid by Russia? The evidence suggests so.

Chmelár has to live on something, and where he works is a mystery; he has not publicly disclosed this information. Shortly after Chmelár was fired from the university for his extreme pro-Russian views, he visited the Russian Embassy, which is public information. In my opinion, this is not a coincidence. Chmelár lost his job, so he looked for one at the Russian Embassy. My opinion is that the Russian Embassy agreed with Chmelár on cooperation: you will be an influencer for us, you will defend Russian policy and Putin's policy, and we will pay you interesting money for it.

What would peace mean according to the pro-Russian propagandist Eduard Chmelár?

Russian propaganda is bothered by the fact that Ukraine is supported by the West in its defense, and it labels this support as warmongering and prolonging the war. Chmelár labels Zelenskyy and the entire West as warmongers and war criminals, which is a totally crazy opinion, but he somehow forgot to criticize Putin, Russia, and Russian aggression. He never criticized Putin and Russia for military aggression. Chmelár calls for strangling the Ukrainian army by making it give up Western support, but he never said a word about strangling the Russian army, he never called for slowing down or completely stopping the Russian military industry, he never called for Russia to give up arms and ammunition supplies from North Korea and Iran. So, according to Chmelár, a peace agreement should consist of achieving something similar to the Minsk Agreement (similar to the Munich Agreement), creating a buffer zone, the West completely stopping support for Ukraine, while the Russian army would not have to be restricted. Such a false peace would last about one month in practice, and then the Russian army would easily break through the front line and occupy all of Ukraine. Slovakia would soon border the Russian Federation.
I have no doubt that the Russian propagandist Chmelár is paid and controlled directly from Moscow, by which he is paid. Chmelár is no peacemaker but a pro-Russian warmonger who defends Russian aggression against Ukraine in every possible way.
It is also very sad that the Slovak media are too feverishly fighting against Robert Fico, but they completely forget to faithfully talk about the absurdity of the false Russian peace. Due to the negligence and irresponsibility of the mainstream media, many people believe in Russian propaganda.

Every fifth round for the defense of Ukraine is from Slovakia.

This is according to the renowned expert Alexander Duleba. It is commendable that the current Minister of Defense, Robert Kaliňák, has a big heart and that he cares about the defense of Ukraine against the Nazi Russian aggressor .
Slovakia has thus become one of the biggest supporters of peace and security in Europe.

Huge shame: Robert Fico confessed to a Russian propagandist

Disinformation and hate propaganda : Who is the 'iron doll' of Putin's regime, to whom Fico poured his heart out ? After the funeral of British Queen Elizabeth II in September 2022, she declared that the Russians should have bombed London with nuclear weapons during this mourning act because all the top leaders of the NATO countries were present there.
Robert Fico has committed treason . On the one hand, Fico talks about sovereign Slovak politics, but in practice, he does the opposite. This is not a disgrace for 100 years. Fico has disgraced Slovakia for 1000 years. Fico behaved like a dirty anti-Slovak prostitute. Fico could not have done a more subordinate and humiliating role for the hostile foreign power Russia. Even the moderator herself must have been very surprised that Fico allowed himself to be used for such a subordinate role. Even Russian politicians do not go to the show because the show is garbage, but Fico got there. Even Russian politicians must be very surprised and amazed at how stupid Fico is, a person who allowed himself to be used for the most subordinate and humiliating activity as the stupidest useful idiot on the planet.
The question is whether the translation, the dubbing of Fico's words, was accurate, or whether Fico was misused to such an extent that the propagandists embellished the translation.
Who convinced Robert Fico to do such a dirty and humiliating service for Russian propaganda, the likes of which one can hardly imagine? It is probably the Russian agent Artur Bekmatov, who still advises Robert Fico. Artur Bekmatov is known for his very aggressive warmongering against Ukraine and aggressively defends Russian aggression, and he also works in disinformation media. This man aggressively talks about a false peace, that Ukraine should capitulate and voluntarily surrender all its territory to the Russian army.
I naively thought that Robert Fico would slow down the spread of Russian propaganda after he kicked the pro-Russian extremist Eduard Chmelár out of his advisory board. I underestimated Chmelár's words, who claimed that the pressure of pro-Russian extremism on Fico is not over, because the Russian agent Artur Bekmatov remains Fico's advisor. If I remember correctly, Chmelár wrote something like that in his FB status.
Artur Bekmatov can speak Russian better than Slovak and apparently has very good contacts with Russian propagandists on Russian television. It was probably him who talked Fico into such humiliating dirty tricks.
I believe that Fico will hopefully wake up and understand how humiliatingly he was abused and kick the Russian agent Artur Bekmatov out of the corps of advisors as soon as possible.
Surprisingly, Fico was criticized for his appearance on Russian television by the harsh Russian propagandist Eduard Chmelár. Chmelár probably stopped receiving money from the Russian embassy, so he turned.
The reason why Fico did this dirty job for Russian television may also be that the assassination attempt changed him to be more pro-Russian. The assassin stated the lack of support for Ukraine as the main reason for the assassination.

When the word peace gets on your nerves more and more. The word peace has been profaned by Russian propaganda. When "chtimirs" cannot distinguish peace from warmongering.

We live in a very strange time full of propaganda. Putin's biggest admirers are the loudest in calling for peace. Being pro-Russian and calling for peace is a contradiction in terms. Cheering for the aggressor and at the same time loudly shouting the word "peace" is a prime example of contradiction. People who cheer for Russian fascism pretend that they do not see any contradiction in it. They are either manipulated or they sincerely cheer for the killing of Ukrainians and Russian war crimes.
Although they aggressively call for "peace", it is a strange "peace" that is as advantageous as possible for Russia and a "peace" that humiliates and degrades Ukraine as much as possible.
It is something similar to how, during World War II, fanatical Nazi followers of Adolf Hitler would most loudly call for peace, but for a peace that is as advantageous as possible for Hitler and that humiliates and degrades the occupied countries as much as possible.
Just as the word peace gets on my nerves, so do the words "ecology" or "nature conservation". Not that I'm against ecology or nature conservation. On the contrary, I'm very strongly in favor. The problem is that these concepts have been profaned. The Greens in Germany, under the guise of ecology, destroyed the environment by shutting down climate-neutral nuclear power plants, which produce zero carbon dioxide, while coal-fired power plants in Germany are running at 200%. Modern ecologists are misguided people who cannot distinguish between the concepts of ecology and environmental destruction. Similarly, the topic of "nature conservation" is an extremely profaned topic in Slovakia, where the media gives space exclusively to a minority of activists who call the destruction of nature, the liquidation and devastation of forest ecosystems by overpopulated bark beetles with incalculable consequences, "nature conservation".
In conclusion: Just as the "Chthimiri" cannot distinguish the word "peace" from "war-mongering", modern "ecologists" cannot distinguish "ecology" from "anti-ecology".

Today's era is peculiar. The more pro-Russian a person is, the greater the defender and admirer of Putin, the louder they call for peace. A thoroughly profaned peace. Except that by peace they mean that only the West and Ukraine should make compromises, but never the Russian aggressor.
It is as absurd as if during the Second World War, the more of a Nazi, the more of a follower of Hitler, the more they would call for peace with Hitler. However, these people would never condemn Hitler's military aggression or demand compromises from Hitler, but would only demand humiliating compromises from the countries attacked by Nazi aggression. Calling for such a false peace is nothing more than legitimizing military aggression and indirectly defending it.
It's sad that many disoriented people have fallen for Russian propaganda, which is contradictory and cannot distinguish military aggression from peace.
Propagandist Chmelár or pro-Russian Fico never called on Putin to:
  • ended the war, withdrew the army from Ukraine
  • suspended fire,
  • They did not accept weapons, ammunition, drones, soldiers from North Korea and Iran.
  • Similarly, Chmelár and Fico never called for peace negotiations in which Putin would have to make some compromise, in which Russia would have to give up at least part of the occupied territories.

Explanation of the strange contradictions in the SMER party's policy. Fico's pro-Russian rhetoric vs. Slovakia being a superpower in aiding Ukraine's defense by supplying ammunition and weapons.

  • Many of Fico's statements are appalling. His statements imply that Fico is a traitor who would sell the whole of Slovakia to Putin for free.
  • Fico has become the strongest and most aggressive promoter of Russian propaganda about the Russian war against Ukraine. It is the same as if some politician during the Second World War actively promoted Hitler and Nazi Germany.
  • Nevertheless, Fico has never vetoed any aid to Ukraine in the EU. Fortunately, his words do not match his actions.
  • Fico's pro-Russian extremist stance is being curbed by the moderate wing of Smer. I believe that the majority of the party are moderate, more decent MPs.
  • The moderate Robert Kaliňák also has a positive influence on Fico. Behind closed doors, harsh verbal exchanges probably take place between the two men.
  • The strongly pro-Russian cockroaches who are sticking out of Putin's ass are MPs Richard Glück and Marián Kéry. However, it seems that most MPs are decent people who do not defend Russian aggression like Fico.
  • Fico's pro-Russian stance is also being held back by the HLAS party
  • Robert Fico is having a hard time coping with the psychological trauma after the assassination attempt. The assassination attempt has made Fico even more pro-Russian. The assassin had strong pro-Ukrainian views.
  • The far-right Republic is also a strong competitor of the Smer party. Sucking up to Putin may help the Smer party gain voters who are deciding between the Republic and Smer.
  • Slovakia is one of the most pro-Russian countries. Shoving your ass into Putin's can bring voters to a political party.
  • With pro-Russian statements, a politician gets a lot of space in alternative media, which are paid for by Russia. Alternative media already have a significant impact on public opinion and election results.
  • However, such an approach is extremely irresponsible, because politicians should not adapt to public opinion just to win voters at all costs. It should be remembered that politicians themselves have a huge influence on public opinion. It is cynical if a politician further promotes Russian propaganda, further promotes pro-Russian sentiments in Slovakia, as if it were not enough that Slovakia is already pro-Russian enough.
  • It should be realized that politicians themselves have a huge impact on public opinion. The Prime Minister has enormous power to weaken pro-Russian sentiments in Slovakia, and that is also his moral duty, not to do the opposite.

Far-right propaganda in the USA on the topic of the war in Ukraine

https://youtu.be/MWozkolu7gY?si=IRDmi2lc9bPWj0wV
Donald Trump's son expressed quite extremist views on the war about 9 months before the American elections. Putin is good, the West is bad, the aggressor is the West. These hoaxes probably don't need any more comments.
He further claims that the only way to stop the war in Ukraine is to stop supporting Ukraine in its defense, which means that Ukraine should voluntarily surrender its entire territory to Russia.
He also claims that supporting Ukraine is economically disadvantageous for the US, which is another lie, because the increase in employment in the US thanks to defense industry companies will improve the economic situation of the poor class in the US.

Propaganda: Zelenskyy is afraid the war will end, Fico struck. According to the Prime Minister, the Ukrainian President is shocked that Trump won the election.

https://www.startitup.sk/zelenskyj-sa-boji-ze-skonci-vojna-udrel-fico-ukrajinsky-prezident-je-podla-premiera-sokovany-ze-trump-vyhral-volby/
We are increasingly encountering pro-Russian politicians and pro-Russian propagandists, such as Chmelár, who indirectly accuse Zelenskyy or Ukraine of being the aggressor and indirectly make chauvinistic, racist remarks about Ukrainians. Hateful statements against the President of Ukraine are indirectly an attack and a hateful expression against the Ukrainian nation. And in some internet discussions, I even learned such gems as that the Ukrainian president is a war criminal who will be punished by the court.
The backward, disgusting Bolshevik Ľuboš Blaha, together with the well-known star of the disinformation scene Judit Laššáková, claim in one of their hateful videos that the President of Ukraine is the main reason for the Russian war against Ukraine.
When people fell for such nonsense during COVID that people would get a chip in their body or brain through vaccination, then how much sooner would fans of the disinformation scene fall for such hateful chauvinistic nonsense.

The contradiction of pro-Russian desolate people: they loudly shout the word "peace", while in Russia you go to jail for the word "peace"

The bigger the pro-Russian desolates, the bigger the admirer of Putin, the bigger the fan of the Russian Nazi regime, the more loudly they shout the word peace. However, pro-Russian desolates do not realize that several people in Russia have been punished and imprisoned for discrediting the Russian army for uttering the word peace in public. Well, what about logic? The word peace is most often used by the same people who believed the absurd hoaxes that people were microchipped by vaccination. How much easier it is to fall for false propaganda about peace.

The development of Russian propaganda after the US presidential election when Trump won

After Trump's victory, the Kremlin clearly panicked. Russian propaganda intensified considerably. Russian propaganda portrayed Trump as a man who would abandon Ukraine, conclude a peace treaty beneficial to Russia and humiliating for Ukraine. So far, however, everything indicates that Trump will be much stricter with Putin and will certainly not want a peace treaty beneficial to Russia and disadvantageous to Ukraine. My opinion is that alternative media and the entire disinformation scene are directly paid for and controlled from Russia, and therefore very intensively spread this narrative. Trump's victory is a defeat for the Kremlin, and Putin is very well aware that it is a defeat for him. On the other hand, Russian propaganda intended for the West portrayed it as a victory for Russia and depicted Trump as a man who would get along well with Putin.

Orešnik ballistic missile: the development of Russian propaganda / disinformation scene after the US presidential election when Trump won

With the ballistic missile Orešnik, all alternative media and the entire disinformation scene controlled from the Kremlin created a huge propaganda of fear of Russia and the Russian army. The Orešnik was described as a superweapon with which Putin could decide to attack European cities at any time if Western politicians were not obedient enough to Putin. I perceive the extremely aggressive campaigning of the disinformation scene in this area as a highly coordinated, highly organized and long-prepared operation of hybrid warfare.
However, all experts questioned Orešnik's relevance and importance.
Zakharova's strange phone call. I knew from the beginning that it was a pre-arranged theatrical performance, which was later confirmed by the media. The goal was to scare the West as much as possible with the phone call.
To scare the West as much as possible, Oreshnik was also linked to a change in Russia's nuclear doctrine. Later, however, it turned out that this was not related to the ATACMS missiles and Oreshnik, and that the Kremlin had been planning this change for a long time. The change in nuclear doctrine allegedly occurred several months before the first ATACMS missile hit Russian territory.
There is no need to fear changes in Russia's nuclear doctrine, also because Russian politicians, through Russian state media, threatened the West with nuclear weapons even before the war in Ukraine. Also, as far as I know, politician Medvedev also threatened the West with nuclear weapons even before the ATACMS missiles.
Retaliation for ATACMS ? We wanted to use Orešnik earlier, Gerasimov denied Putin.
It is very important not to fall for Russian propaganda and not to succumb to fear and panic. Fear is the easiest thing to manipulate. We have no reason to be afraid of Russia.
The launch of the experimental ballistic missile Orešnik at Ukraine was a propaganda operation prepared by the Russian army and intelligence services to once again evoke fear in the countries of the West.
A very high-quality article was written on this topic with the title " The mysterious voice from the Kremlin has circled the world. Journalists uncovered a strange phone call to Zakharova. "
In conclusion : what is the truth? All the propaganda around Orešnik and the Russian nuclear doctrine arose only because of Putin's fear of Trump. A dying mare kicks the most. It is a manifestation of Putin's despair.

Russian propaganda: the only reason for the war is that the West supports Ukraine in its defense.

In Slovakia, there is a very popular propaganda that the reason why there is no peace yet due to the Russian war against Ukraine is that the West supports Ukraine in its defense against Russian aggression. However, such a claim is absolutely absurd, because not supporting Ukraine in its defense would mean doing exactly the same as what happened at the Munich Betrayal . Not supporting Ukraine means helping Putin to occupy Ukraine without a fight, hoping and believing that with such appeasement , the West will satisfy and calm Putin and that Putin will not want to continue the war with military aggression against other countries.
Not supporting Ukraine means helping Putin occupy Ukraine without a fight.
It is absurd propaganda, but it is preached by Robert Fico, Andrej Danko, Eduard Chmelár, and the Czech version of Chmelár, the Russian propagandist Petr Drulák. You are certainly familiar with their statements that the reason for the war is that the West is sending weapons to Ukraine.
It's interesting that if you try to argue with people who believe in this propaganda, they usually aren't interested in a serious discussion and are aggressive.
Another problem with those people who claim that supporting Ukraine's defense is the reason for the war, or the reason for prolonging the war, is that these people confuse who is the aggressor and who is the victim in Russia's war against Ukraine. They make Ukraine the aggressor and Russia the victim. According to them, Ukraine has no right to defend itself. They consider Ukraine's defense as an attack against Russia, which is totally perverse.

Peace in Ukraine? Where did the West go wrong? And what could it do?

We sent less to Ukraine than went to the war in Iraq in a year, says US general https://ct24.ceskatelevize.cz/clanek/veda/ukrajine-jsme-poslali-mene-nez-slo-za-rok-na-valku-v-iraku-rika-americky-general-358861
This is a very serious failure of not only the Trump but also the Biden administration. Ukraine has never been a priority for the Trump and Biden administrations. Americans have not understood that we live in a strongly interconnected and globalized world. Americans cannot pretend that Ukraine does not concern them. For example, if Russia attacked not only Ukraine but also an EU or NATO country and caused an economic recession in Europe, the economic recession would also spread to the USA, as the EU and the USA are economically interconnected.
A weak Russia, unable to continue its military aggression, is in the interest of Europe and the USA.
And here we are not even talking about selfless help for ethical reasons, which should also be a matter of course.
If the Americans had given everything they had in their warehouses at the beginning of the war, there could have been peace today and Russia would have been defeated. The hesitation of the Biden administration is now unnecessarily prolonging the war.
While Russia has practically been drawing military equipment exclusively from old Soviet stocks to this day, on the other hand, in the case of Ukraine, the US hesitated and we did not witness any adequately comparable massive support of old stored equipment or ammunition. This understandably gave Russia a big head start.
Currently, the ratio of losses in the Ukrainian and Russian armies is said to be 1:2 or 1:3. This is not sustainable for Ukraine in the long term. The ideal ratio would be 1:7 or 1:10.
Corruption in the Ukrainian government and the Ukrainian army also exists.
There are also reports of major failures in the command, control, and management of the Ukrainian army, and the West has great potential to help in this matter, for example, through more intensive advice and intervention in command, and greater interest in the events in Ukraine and on the front. This would also reduce corruption.
The battlefield and the war are evolving very quickly. Artillery in Ukraine is said to be a rather outdated solution. Drones are responsible for most of the losses, allegedly up to 80%. The advantage is that, unlike a drone, a jammer does not work on a howitzer. Soldiers on both sides are quickly consumed, and there is no time to train a new batch of soldiers on such a sophisticated system as a howitzer. It is easier to train a soldier on a drone. This may be another reason why artillery is used less and less.
The battlefield and the war are evolving very quickly. The West has by no means exploited its potential to help Ukraine with faster technological innovations than Russia can implement.
