When many things in this world disappoint us, we realize that they cannot be relied upon, and therefore, we give up false values more easily. There are various forms of suffering, and one of them is when a person becomes seriously ill. Suffering can also be on a hidden psychological level, e.g., in complicated interpersonal relationships.
Being devoted does not mean being an extremist or an exhibitionist. There is no need to stand out from the crowd in a provocative way. There is no need to leave home and permanently run away to the forest. That would be a misunderstanding of devotion.
and now let's go back to meditation: being devoted in meditation is not that easy. One has to fight for devotion throughout life. It is not just a one-time decision and then enough. It may happen that meditation worked for you for a certain period of time and then stopped working. Where is the problem? Well, you forgot about devotion.
There is also a tendency for a person to become proud after success in meditation, then forget about devotion and begin to stagnate spiritually. One must be careful of this negative tendency.
It may happen that a person cleanses their chakras to a certain extent, makes progress to a certain extent (e.g., is able to astral travel), but then the problem arises again – the person becomes arrogant, forgets about devotion, stops growing spiritually, and remains at this same stagnant level for the rest of their life. One must be careful of this negative tendency .
Also, some people who have naturally cleaner chakras and can also travel astrally do not have to fight so much with negative energy and the Anti-Absolute. These people are at a low spiritual level because they also have less suffering, then they become lazy and are very far from devotion. Therefore, people who master astral travel with the factor of "innate abilities" are paradoxically at a low spiritual level – unfortunately, this is my experience.
It's easy to be devoted . Don't make a science out of it. You don't need to be some kind of super ascetic. Believe in yourself. Don't doubt that you can't be devoted.
If we are not devoted, our subconscious (=unconsciously) perceives it as if we did not even want to meditate . If we are not devoted, it means that we do not want just one thing, but we want several things at once, we put effort into several things, goals, values, and then there is no strength left for meditation. Our consciousness and subconsciousness do not have such a clear intention. It is not possible to do two or more things at once. A person's task is to invest strength and effort only in meditation and that is all – nothing more. That is devotion. There is no other way: our only value is meditation and nothing more.
Meditation as a lifestyle: One should not take meditation as something marginal in one's life, but it should be the center and the highest goal of one's life. I know several strong Christians who devote all their free time to activities in Christian communities with full devotion. But how much more should one be devoted to meditation and devote all free time to meditation. While Christianity gives you nothing and is harmful, meditation will give you everything and help you a lot in life.
***********
Overall, total devotion as such is not entirely unknown in contemporary philosophy. It is known in Christianity and Islam. It is devotion to God and religion. But to be devoted to such perverse religions as the religion of blood, Christianity or Islam, is something very bad. If there is devotion, it is devotion to a destructive religion. True devotion is essential for a spiritually noble person who builds some values. People are lukewarm and half-hearted, but they are far from devotion.
The forces of evil can be aggressive. The forces of evil try to hinder you with various difficult situations – do not be discouraged – let the forces of evil see that this does not deter you. Work persistently on meditation despite obstacles in the form of various sufferings. Do not lose your cool even in difficulties.
In addition to devotion to meditation, it is also important to be devoted to the constant changes and refinement of one's personality.

Devotion is suffering.

Devotion is suffering. The path of devotion does not mean being lazy, but it means being persistent and hardworking. Having a strong will is essential. You must realize and expect that meditation means going the path of suffering and effort. Meditation is the path of suffering. Meditation requires a lot of effort and hard work, and that does not go without suffering. Forget about laziness and low self-discipline.
The more effort, endeavor, and suffering you put into meditation, the more successful you will be. Suffering and effort are directly proportional to the success and fruit of meditation. And the benefits of meditation are really very great, and it is always very worthwhile.
To be fully immersed in meditation and to be devoted means that we will be willing to suffer in order to achieve our goal.
Sometimes, one has to endure suffering involuntarily in their life. But in meditation, it is as if we have to enter into "suffering" quite voluntarily, and that is more difficult and not so simple. But it is always possible – one does not have to be some kind of super ascetic for that.
This "devotion to suffering" is also the strongest weapon against the so-called programs that prevent us from meditating.
Today, people are very lazy and sluggish because there is a great spiritual crisis today. They are reluctant to use effort and suffering for self-improvement. People do the opposite. As a result, the vast majority of people are personality wrecks. If Christians can suffer for their highest principle – the Christian religion, then we should know how to suffer for our highest principle of meditation and for our spiritual growth.
And this issue does not necessarily concern meditation. People should be very diligent and willing to seek truth and knowledge (but today people do the exact opposite, they are indifferent to truth and knowledge or are unwilling to give up their dogmas). If we learn the truth, it is our duty to change our opinion, and changing our opinion is painful (e.g., for a Christian to renounce Christianity). Also, if someone points out a mistake, let's admit that mistake, even if it is painful for us (it is suffering). Most people have a very big problem with this.
Christians also preach that suffering is very necessary and important in our lives. However, I strongly point out that Christian suffering is a completely different kind of suffering and it is very enslaving suffering – let's not take an example from it – overall, the Christian faith will only lead us to slavery.

Detachment

The element of detachment is an indispensable part of successful meditation.
