Lucid Dreaming – a guide

Lucid Dreaming (LD) is an unconventional state of consciousness that not everyone can achieve. A young age (childhood) is an advantage; the younger the person, the higher the probability that they will succeed with LD.
LD is a very strong change in consciousness, where a person cannot distinguish this reality from the reality of a dream – this is not a normal dream.
For example, a certain person started dreaming that they were going to school in the morning. They couldn't distinguish reality from the dream, so they actually arrived late at school before they woke up.
LD is perhaps an even more intense change of consciousness than being under the influence of some psychedelic substance.
LD is closely related to astral travel (= out-of-body experience). Here is, for example, the testimony  viewtopic.php?f=20&t=2285

Here I will publish mainly rarer information about LD, which I think you will not find in any literature or on   websites   Hypnagogia
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hypnagogia  (I will use hypnagogia in a slightly different meaning and context than described here)
When starting with LD, it is very advantageous to train in hypnagogia. It is essentially meditation training in sleep or semi-sleep.
Hypnagogia is something lower, something less than a dream. It is the depiction of various patterns and formations in the subconscious, various memories from our real life, we can see various unreal objects and items in our world. It can be unstable and changing images, like photographs from the memories of our memory, or it can be a short fragment of a dream or (figuratively speaking) a "video". Hypnagogia is something very broad and can mean all of the above during one "dream" training.
We can also see hypnagogia very faintly and unclearly, and that is also fine.
Individual patterns can be displayed for a few seconds; there is no rule as to how long they should be displayed and how often the projected patterns should be changed .
Let's not try to consciously influence hypnagogic "visions", let's not have preconceived ideas or wishes about what we want to see, but rather the exact opposite. Let's not interfere with what we see and let's not try to influence it. All patterns should be projected completely spontaneously.
If we see any hypnagogic vision (even if it is faint and unclear), let's try to name it in our mind with one word or words. Even if there is no word for the thing, or it cannot be named with one word, let's at least name it with a word that is somehow related to it (or even less directly related).
This is done so that a person becomes more consciously aware of what is in the subconscious. This entire method is about connecting/linking consciousness and the subconscious.
Sometimes it may happen that from a given hypnagogic projection you perceive not only visual information, but also other information, e.g. emotional information, or information that follows from the given image, or information on how we understood the given visual perception. (The perception of these non-visual perceptual information is correct and moves us forward. Not only should you not try to suppress it, but you should also deliberately try to observe it if such a perception appears). However, this information is like a "delusional" perception, and in normal consciousness we would understand the given projected visual perception differently – that is, "normally". However, in the sleep state in which we observe hypnagogic patterns, we can understand these visual perceptions differently, unconventionally, somehow "not normally", not as "normal".
And again, let's try to name the given visual perception in words, how we see it, how we understand it. Of course, we don't have to say it out loud, it's enough to just say it quietly in our minds.
It is advantageous (although it is not that easy) to also tune in to the light beings in the right way during this hypnagogic meditation, who can help us with hypnagogia.
This hypnagogic method has great advantages because it cleanses the energy field of human consciousness and prepares us/helps us to LD.

(this is how I advised others)
There is also a procedure for LD, where you wake up an hour or two before you usually get up, get out of bed, walk around, and then fall asleep again. Then paralysis and LD are more likely to occur.
Sometimes, occasional disturbing sounds can also help with LD – it probably makes a person more alert.
And whenever you dream something, immediately  after waking up  (still partially in a sleepy state), while still in bed, try to "replay" the dream as if  to remember it as best as possible. You need to "replay" it quickly (it probably wouldn't work slowly) and try to remember as many details as possible. And when you wake up a bit more, replay the dream in your mind again. And when you are fully awake, then briefly write down what you dreamed into your mobile phone: write at least some keywords related to the dream, or a kind of outline.
This is a training for LD and you can gradually improve in it.
Also with LD (or even normal sleep), you have to take into account that you live as if in a world where different rules apply, in psychiatric terminology it is called delusional or psychotic perception . When this happens in LD, it is of course all in the best possible order, of course.
It's something similar to a person being under the influence of some hallucinogenic substance.
Don't look for anything complicated behind it, it's very simple: I'll explain it to you with an example I experienced in LD:
I was walking through the square of some city and I saw a girl who started laughing very hard. In the LD, I understood this situation, but completely differently than in normal consciousness. In the world of the LD I was in, her laughter unequivocally meant that she was very much in love with me and that she desired me very much.
In everyday life, however, such a rule definitely does not apply.
In LD, a person can also have, let's say,  paranoid delusions or paranoid psychosis: that is, fear of something that you don't normally fear in everyday life. And it can, of course, be the other way around.
So, when you try to remember the plot of a LD, don't let your consciousness resist accepting a psychotic or delusional dream plot, and thus a plot in which different rules apply than in this world. This will help you to better practice and develop in LD.
**********************************************************************
Otherwise, as shamans say, with LD you are often able to tune into other dimensional layers of planet Earth, which are not normally visible. It is a kind of parallel reality of planet Earth.
From a shamanic point of view, LD is real, or rather, shamans say it is more real than this reality. In LD, you are conscious in the astral world, and in the astral world, you can vividly create and model reality, and all it takes is the intention of the mind.
In LD, you are truly in a different world than this one.
And also, with the help of LD, you can significantly model this reality. Let's say, if there is a problem or suffering in your life, in a dream you imagine how the situation turned out as best as possible.
For example, in LD you can imagine how you wrote a test at school and got an A without studying for it. And that will certainly happen in this reality (i.e. in this dimension visible to us).

As shamans say, this reality is just a hologram or a 3D projection, over which you have power and which you can model. That's for sure.

LD is also a form of meditation, and shamans also master it.

Another factor is that  during sleep, every person's spiritual body is usually about 20 cm above their physical body, making them very vulnerable to negative energies. This is called unconscious disembodiment; the person is unconscious and does not remember it. It is not positive, beneficial, or useful .
As I mentioned, during unconscious sleep, a person is very vulnerable to the influences of foreign negative entities. So, if you have LD every time you sleep, if you have this conscious sleep, you are no longer vulnerable in this way, and that is very good. Especially in adulthood and old age, the chakras tend to become heavily polluted, and thus more suffering and complications in life will be lurking for you.
But with LD, you stop being vulnerable to negative energies, and that's very good – this way you can have a whole life with a minimum of suffering.
**********************************
Overall, LD has a huge advantage in that you can visualize your future in it. If you visualize something in a dream, some unfulfilled wish, it is obvious that you will later be able to realize it in reality. It is advisable to visualize the solar plexus chakra as well.

Dreams and the Meaning of Dreams
-Even if a person experiences a completely normal dream (even if it is not lucid dreaming), such dreams also have great significance. Every dream means a certain attunement of consciousness to a parallel reality, i.e., to a certain similar world as the one we live in (it's like a small AC). It is a reality as real as this one – and our subconscious perceives it as a real reality.
– Dreams with negative or depressive content should not be avoided either – these dreams should also be written down – these dreams also contribute to spiritual growth. In an unconscious dream, a person is energetically very vulnerable; if a person experiences a conscious dream (when they can remember it), they are less vulnerable.
-Whenever you have a dream, write it down. And if you wake up at night and remember a dream, have your mobile phone handy and write down the keywords of the dream's plot. And if you read it later, you will tune your subconscious (nothing special will happen at the conscious level) to parallel realities, and that is beneficial for spiritual growth.

Exercise to get closer to LD
This exercise should be manageable for everyone, even a person who has no predisposition to LD. In fact, it's just about classic dreaming (i.e., not LD) and experiencing it with the greatest possible intensity. The problem is sometimes not having any dream at all during the whole night (or remembering it (a person always has dreams, they just don't remember them, the mind is unconscious)).

Instructions:
When falling asleep, try to perceive hypnagogic hallucinations (this will make it easier for you to remember the dream).
Try to apply the principle of "The principle of ego unconsciousness and higher self awareness" https://filozofia.nett.to/meditacia/sk/meditacna-technika-pochopenie-nasho
Try to use affirmations and suggestions for LD as well.
Set a gentle alarm on your mobile phone, with a very gradual increase in volume, with a pleasant melody. The spiritual body, which is located a few centimeters above the body during sleep, will slowly and gradually "stick" to the physical body as the alarm volume gradually increases. This will cause the person to remember the dream better (a certain shamanic scholar said that when the spiritual body gradually sticks, it will remember better).
Set such an alarm several times a night and write down the dream in your mobile phone, or better yet, record the spoken word on your mobile phone in audio form.
But the best option is to replay the dream in your mind several times after waking up, similar to how you would replay a video several times. This way, you will remember the dream well and keep it in your mind until morning. After replaying the dream, try to fall asleep again and wait for the next alarm.
You can notice and realize that if you are in a dream, the plot seems to be as real as this world and that in that world you cannot change anything by the power of your mind, just as in this world in which we normally live.
The alarm can be set, say, every 2 hours. By consciously experiencing dreams, one also has the advantage of becoming less vulnerable to various negative energetic influences, whether personal or impersonal (under normal circumstances, a person is very vulnerable). This means that despite interrupted sleep, one is not tired in the morning, but rather even more energized than with normal sleep.

Alarm clock solution
An alarm clock whose sound goes into the headphones is also a very good aid (it can significantly help some people). There are some software options for this.

https://f-droid.org/ is a perfect solution to download an app without logging into a Google account.

Even ordinary dreams are not hallucinations, but rather a tuning into parallel dimensions, and they are as real as ordinary reality.
These are my own experiences  (and of course, anyone else can experience it, it applies to every other person equally) .
As for my own experience, I have experienced more conscious living and remembering of dreams, but I have not yet managed to have a lucid dream.
When I was more consciously experiencing the dream, I perceived it as if I were in a different reality and had to obey all the laws of that reality (similar to how it is in ordinary reality). The dream did not seem any less real to me than ordinary reality.
Only the plot and the laws of reality in that dream were quite strange and bizarre, but otherwise I perceived it as being as real as ordinary reality.
And I didn't realize in that state that I was dreaming, that my real body was sleeping. (I didn't realize the existence of any other dream body of mine).
And although I watched a varied plot in my dreams and was subject to different rules, most often in my dreams I feel like I'm somehow half-invisible – people don't seem to see me (although in some dreams I sometimes talked to people).
And I repeat, what I experienced were neither LDs nor ACs, but just ordinary dreams, just lived a little more consciously.
In conclusion: A dream is not just about the brain, but also about tuning consciousness to some parallel reality.

21. 11. 2015  The Art of Dream Writing
There may be a problem when writing it down. The plot of the dream may be so crazy and unbelievable that you will not be able to write it down, name it, or you will not have the courage. The plot of the dream may also resemble experiences that would be called very strong hallucinations and delusions in psychiatric terminology https://sk.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blud_%28psychiatria%29 . For example, you can understand the same thing in waking and dream consciousness completely differently (this is a delusion). Also, "crazy" hallucinations can happen in a dream that cannot even be described in our common words.
Also, the entire plot of the dream and the circumstances in the dream can be so bizarre, so strange, and so illogical that they are difficult to write down in a dream diary (but if you are directly in the dream, then it does not seem strange or chaotic in the dream plot and dream experience). The plot of the dream can be extremely chaotic, bizarre, and illogical. In fact, it is impossible to describe it in words. In such a case, try to describe the plot at least with keywords of what you saw and what you did, what the circumstances were in the dream, and how you perceived things.
Try to write down even a very chaotic and bizarre dream (it is very beneficial and good), although it can be very difficult. Writing down a dream is much harder and more challenging than having a lucid dream (i.e. a dream that you can remember immediately after waking up). Writing down dreams is a great art.

It is good to give a specific example of what I dreamed.  I was in a dream-like plot that cannot be described in words, but it probably most resembled a situation in a funeral home without a dead person, for whom the people around me were praying. Which was, of course, contrary to all logic, I was holding a very strange and quite rusty screw in my hand. Contrary to the laws of physics, I managed to unscrew this screw with its nut. The screw then began to spontaneously change (transform) and enlarge into some indescribable engineering iron object consisting of several parts.

As I have already mentioned, it is very difficult to write down such a plot in a dream diary.

"Delusions" are very difficult to write down. It can easily happen in a dream, but it is very difficult to write it down because it is very unbelievable. However, in order to move forward, it is necessary to write down delusions in the dream diary.
I will also give a specific example of a delusion that I dreamed of:
I was talking on the street to a construction worker who was about 55 years old. About a minute later, I came home and met an obese boy of about 13 in my house. What was strange, however, was that in the dream, I was experiencing a "delusion" in which I was 100% convinced that the aforementioned worker and the 13-year-old boy were the same and identical person (which is absolutely insane and unbelievable in our perception of the world, to perceive two people who are completely different in appearance and age as completely identical). I perceived it as a complete matter of course that could not even be doubted.
The delusional perception in the plot of the dream is so unbelievable that it can hardly be written down. It is a great art to write it down.

I've recently made some progress in LD. The most important thing is to be able to reason and think in a dream, to be able to realize – and that's a bit of a problem – it's a bit challenging. Consciousness thinks that the dream is this normal reality, consciousness does not consider the dream to be a dream. Therefore, the most important thing is to realize in a dream that you are dreaming, that it is not reality, and that is not possible if you are not able to think in the dream.
