An important factor in meditation is devotion. Detachment

This is primarily a guide for people who are very serious about meditation techniques and spirituality.

The most important factor in meditation is total devotion. We will often refer to the concept of devotion on this page. We will explain what we mean by devotion in this article.
One must also somehow internally understand this whole article about devotion. Just reading it is not enough; it is necessary to realize everything internally while contemplating. It may also happen that you will fully understand this article only after several years. It may also happen that you will internally understand devotion for part of your life and then later stop understanding it. And then it may take some time until you are able to understand things again.
Without devotion, meditation simply won't work! On the contrary, with devotion, miracles happen and everything works.
One must give oneself completely to meditation, truly completely. One cannot give oneself halfway to meditation. One cannot give oneself only 99% to meditation, because meditation will not work that way. You have to give yourself completely to it.
It is not easy to give yourself to it completely, because this world has many temptations, and these temptations prevent it.
Devotion is also manifested by not being tied to a computer, the internet, and television.
Now let's quote a little from the Bible. I don't recognize the Bible as a whole, but you can find reasonable sentences in it.
For devotion to meditation, it is necessary to prioritize meditation over social ties such as relationships with relatives or friends:
The Gospel According to Luke – Chapter 14
26 "If anyone comes to me and does not hate his father, mother, wife, children, brothers, sisters, and even his own life*, he cannot be my disciple."
*- hating one's life could be interpreted as hating one's previous lifestyle, which was wrong
For meditation, one must lose everything. Really everything. This is especially important.
To gain, one must lose. Meditation is the greatest, most universal, and most advantageous thing in the world. It is worth losing everything for it. One must put meditation first and everything else last. (It is necessary to lose mainly on the inner spiritual level, to give up the computer, the internet, the television, the current lifestyle that would hinder meditation)
The Gospel according to Matthew – Chapter 13
45 The kingdom of heaven is also like a merchant looking for precious pearls.
46 When he finds a pearl of great value, he goes and sells everything he has and buys it.
Rich people are not able to meditate because they are strongly attached to matter. On the contrary, the poor have an advantage because money does not bring them happiness and so they are not attached to it:
The Gospel according to Matthew – Chapter 19
24 And I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God."
The Gospel according to Luke – chapter 6
20 He fixed his eyes on his disciples and said, "Blessed are you who are poor, for yours is the kingdom of God."
Suffering and frustration help us to devote ourselves . When many things in this world disappoint us, we realize that they cannot be relied upon, and therefore, we give up false values more easily. There are various forms of suffering, and one of them is when a person becomes seriously ill. Suffering can also be on a hidden psychological level, e.g., in complicated interpersonal relationships.
Being devoted does not mean being an extremist or an exhibitionist. There is no need to stand out from the crowd in a provocative way. There is no need to leave home and permanently run away to the forest. That would be a misunderstanding of devotion.
and now let's go back to meditation: being devoted in meditation is not that easy. One has to fight for devotion throughout life. It is not just a one-time decision and then enough. It may happen that meditation worked for you for a certain period of time and then stopped working. Where is the problem? Well, you forgot about devotion.
There is also a tendency for a person to become proud after success in meditation, then forget about devotion and begin to stagnate spiritually. One must be careful of this negative tendency.
It may happen that a person cleanses their chakras to a certain extent, makes progress to a certain extent (e.g., is able to astral travel), but then the problem arises again – the person becomes arrogant, forgets about devotion, stops growing spiritually, and remains at this same stagnant level for the rest of their life. One must be careful of this negative tendency .
Also, some people who have naturally cleaner chakras and can also travel astrally do not have to fight so much with negative energy and the Anti-Absolute. These people are at a low spiritual level because they also have less suffering, then they become lazy and are very far from devotion. Therefore, people who master astral travel with the factor of "innate abilities" are paradoxically at a low spiritual level – unfortunately, this is my experience.
It's easy to be devoted . Don't make a science out of it. You don't need to be some kind of super ascetic. Believe in yourself. Don't doubt that you can't be devoted.
If we are not devoted, our subconscious (=unconsciously) perceives it as if we did not even want to meditate . If we are not devoted, it means that we do not want just one thing, but we want several things at once, we put effort into several things, goals, values, and then there is no strength left for meditation. Our consciousness and subconsciousness do not have such a clear intention. It is not possible to do two or more things at once. A person's task is to invest strength and effort only in meditation and that is all – nothing more. That is devotion. There is no other way: our only value is meditation and nothing more.
Meditation as a lifestyle: One should not take meditation as something marginal in one's life, but it should be the center and the highest goal of one's life. I know several strong Christians who devote all their free time to activities in Christian communities with full devotion. But how much more should one be devoted to meditation and devote all free time to meditation. While Christianity gives you nothing and is harmful, meditation will give you everything and help you a lot in life.
***********
Overall, total devotion as such is not entirely unknown in contemporary philosophy. It is known in Christianity and Islam. It is devotion to God and religion. But to be devoted to such perverse religions as the religion of blood, Christianity or Islam, is something very bad. Devotion itself is a good thing and we can take this very thing from Christians, but devotion to such religions, if they have a very mistaken and distorted idea of God, is very bad.
It is also interesting that devotion can be misused for evil – the Islamic State movement is proof of this, which is doing very well and no one can cope with it.
The Gospel according to Luke – chapter 10
27 "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind!"
Book of Deuteronomy – chapter 6
5 You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength.
Overall, complete devotion is a very unknown and unpopular thing for people of the current spiritual era. If there is devotion, it is devotion to a destructive religion. True devotion is essential for a spiritually noble person who builds some values. People are lukewarm and half-hearted, but they are far from devotion.
The forces of evil can be aggressive. Do not be discouraged from meditating, even if you are tested by suffering . The forces of evil try to hinder you with various difficult situations – do not be discouraged – let the forces of evil see that this does not deter you. Work persistently on meditation despite obstacles in the form of various sufferings. Do not lose your cool even in difficulties.
In addition to devotion to meditation, it is also important to be devoted to the constant changes and refinement of one's personality.

Devotion is suffering.

Devotion is suffering. The path of devotion does not mean being lazy, but it means being persistent and hardworking. Having a strong will is essential. You must realize and expect that meditation means going the path of suffering and effort. Meditation is the path of suffering. Meditation requires a lot of effort and hard work, and that does not go without suffering. Forget about laziness and low self-discipline.
The more effort, endeavor, and suffering you put into meditation, the more successful you will be. Suffering and effort are directly proportional to the success and fruit of meditation. And the benefits of meditation are really very great, and it is always very worthwhile.
To be fully immersed in meditation and to be devoted means that we will be willing to suffer in order to achieve our goal.
Sometimes, one has to endure suffering involuntarily in their life. But in meditation, it is as if we have to enter into "suffering" quite voluntarily, and that is more difficult and not so simple. But it is always possible – one does not have to be some kind of super ascetic for that.
This "devotion to suffering" is also the strongest weapon against the so-called programs that prevent us from meditating.
Today, people are very lazy and sluggish because there is a great spiritual crisis today. They are reluctant to use effort and suffering for self-improvement. People do the opposite. As a result, the vast majority of people are personality wrecks. If Christians can suffer for their highest principle – the Christian religion, then we should know how to suffer for our highest principle of meditation and for our spiritual growth.
And this issue does not necessarily concern meditation. People should be very diligent and willing to seek truth and knowledge (but today people do the exact opposite, they are indifferent to truth and knowledge or are unwilling to give up their dogmas). If we learn the truth, it is our duty to change our opinion, and changing our opinion is painful (e.g., for a Christian to renounce Christianity). Also, if someone points out a mistake, let's admit that mistake, even if it is painful for us (it is suffering). Most people have a very big problem with this.
Christians also preach that suffering is very necessary and important in our lives. However, I strongly point out that Christian suffering is a completely different kind of suffering and it is very enslaving suffering – let's not take an example from it – overall, the Christian faith will only lead us to slavery.

Detachment

The element of detachment is an indispensable part of successful meditation. Without it, it won't work very well.

What does detachment mean? It is primarily about not attributing any importance to this world visible to us and its values. However, this needs to be understood correctly – it is not just some superficial detachment, but it must be taken deadly seriously. One must perceive this whole world as vanity. Detachment means not seeing the meaning of life on this earth.
Not being attached to money and mammon is also necessary.
Detachment will move our spirit higher, our spirit will thus tune into higher dimensions. In order for a person to tune into higher dimensions, it is necessary to detach from this world. This is how a person gets to higher energies.
A person is able to understand detachment in solitude at a place of power.
To detach ourselves from this world, it will also help us to realize that this world is just a matrix and an illusion – something that is not worth taking seriously.
Detachment is not only for monks in monasteries, but also for every human being. It is the person who is not in a monastery who may be able to detach themselves better, because they are encouraged to do so by the difficult conditions and suffering of everyday life.
To be unattached, one does not need to engage in ascetic exhibitionism or conspicuously differ from other people.
You don't have to be attached to any information that happens in this world, you have to be detached from using the internet or watching television.
All human suffering comes from attachment (non-detachment) to this physical world. The more a person is attached to this physical world, the more suffering they have.
That is why we have incarnated into a physical body on this planet, so that the Absolute can test us to what extent we will be attached to this world, to its values, temptations, and mammon. Suffering forces us to learn that it is not right to perceive this visible world as a source of happiness. Severe suffering forces us not to be attached and bound to this world. But many times, even suffering does not work for a spiritually inferior person.
