They often intentionally conceal multiple meanings of a given word or add other meanings to it. They do so for purely religious, ideological reasons, contrary to a scientific approach, with the aim of manipulating the Bible. Therefore, it is very important to look at the meaning of a word in secular dictionaries of ancient Greek and Hebrew. The differences are sometimes astounding. It is always correct to translate based on a secular dictionary, because only in this way can objectivity, ideological impartiality, and a scientific approach to translations be maintained.<br \/>\r\n<strong>It is very important to warn many Christians and Christian theologians that theological dictionaries are manipulated. Many do not even know about it.<\/strong><br \/>\r\nI even noticed an unfortunate phenomenon, that the influence of religious dictionaries is also passing into secular dictionaries. Unfortunately, the quality of the translation dictionary is extremely poor; it draws from outdated 150-year-old dictionaries, and there are huge signs of manipulation in the meanings of words. It is certainly not right if all Aramaic words have practically identical meanings to those in Greek biblical dictionaries in 95% of cases. I have not been able to find quality and secular Aramaic-English dictionaries online. Perhaps there are quality dictionaries between modern Hebrew and Aramaic. Hebrew and Aramaic should be quite similar languages. Since many younger Jewish texts, such as the Talmud, were written in Aramaic, it is clear that there are very good dictionaries between Aramaic and modern Hebrew. The absence of a quality dictionary is a very sad thing, because a translational analysis of the Peshitta is not possible.<br \/>\r\nI publicly call on the academic scientific community to compile a quality dictionary and ask for it to be published online. A dictionary between Aramaic and English can be compiled with the help of experts from Israel, or on the basis of an Aramaic-Hebrew dictionary.<br \/>\r\n&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;The manipulations of Bible translations are very extensive and absolutely shocking. It is very sad that so little is said about it. It requires a huge amount of education. It would help Christians a lot. Perhaps the strongest argument could be that the author suggests that homosexuality is unnatural. However, there is a very strong theological counter-argument. Christians today no longer take the Bible, neither the Old nor the New Testament, literally. In the Old Testament, God tells the Jews to kill their enemies. The New Testament is also full of controversial passages that Christians do not follow either. Disrespectful statements towards women, or the cursing of Ananias and Sapphira by the Apostle Peter, who died after the curse. They fell for the conservatives&#8217; trap a bit. Those liberal theologians mostly explain it in such a way that homosexuality is forbidden only in the sense that the original author of the Bible, probably Saint Paul, meant it in such a way that homosexuality was forbidden only in the form <strong>of slave abuse<\/strong> . And it is really true that at that time slaves were sometimes abused in the form of some homosexual satisfaction. Yes, it is true that this is what was meant. And it is certainly possible to interpret that statement in the Bible in a moderate way, even in this way. That if you want to, you can really interpret the Bible differently. <strong>Where there&#8217;s a will, there&#8217;s a way.<\/strong><br \/>\r\n&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;On the one hand, on the other hand, I see it a little differently. Of course, neither can be seen as necessarily an incorrect translation, nor the virgin. However, on the other hand, if we take a certain historical context, it cannot be ruled out that it could have been meant as the word homosexual. The eunuch, of course, in a metaphorical sense. On the contrary, the Bible even speaks positively about David and Jonathan, how they had a successful homosexual relationship. The incorrect translations of the statement about homosexuality in the Old Testament arose only later. We must perceive it in this context.<br \/>\r\n&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;We also have to perceive the context that such a statement would not have been controversial at all at that time. That for the Kingdom of God, to become or to live a homosexual lifestyle would not have been controversial at all at that time, because at that time there was really something like <strong>a bisexual culture on the whole planet,<\/strong> which very strongly supported such a lifestyle.<br \/>\r\n&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Another thing is that when the Bible says that someone became a eunuch (or homosexual) &#8221; <strong>for the kingdom of God&#8221;<\/strong> , it should be realized that it is quite meaningful and practical. If someone wants to devote themselves fully to that spirituality, to the kingdom of God, it is logical that it is not very advantageous to have a relationship with a woman, because you then have to take care of the children. That is not very advantageous for the kingdom of God if you want to devote yourself to that spirituality. If you have that homosexual relationship, you don&#8217;t have children, and therefore you can fully devote yourself to that spirituality. So that would be practical.<br \/>\r\n&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;We also have to realize that it was a completely different time, there was no contraception. Nowadays, such a statement would be very controversial, but not at that time.<br \/>\r\n&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;These are also controversial statements in the Bible, but they can be interpreted in this way. Yes, it can certainly be translated as &#8221; <strong>panic&#8221;<\/strong> . Certainly, even at that time, the word <em>eunuch<\/em> was associated with some sexual restraint, and it certainly had such symbolism, but perhaps the author used the word <em>eunuch<\/em> <strong>ambiguously<\/strong> so that it could be interpreted both ways. The unknown author of the Bible &#8211; although it is attributed to some apostles, even today the Catholic Church admits that the Bible was written after the death of the apostles.<br \/>\r\n&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;My opinion is that the original author who wrote it, you can&#8217;t say that someone has a patent on the truth. Just as it is possible to translate it as <em>virgin<\/em> , as the Catholic Church translates it, so too can the word <strong>homosexual<\/strong> be a correct translation. Liberal vs. conservative wing.<\/strong><br \/>\r\nThe church that has been most talked about in recent years (especially 2019\u20132023) is <strong>the United Methodist Church (UMC)<\/strong> .<br \/>\r\n<br \/>\r\n<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>1. Methodist Church<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\r\nThis is <strong>the United Methodist Church (UMC)<\/strong> , which was the second largest Protestant denomination in the USA. It is composed of the word&nbsp;arsen, meaning man, and&nbsp;koitai, meaning bed, but the word&nbsp;koitai&nbsp;also has a very strong sexual subtext, so it means something like a &#8220;highly sexually active man.&#8221; But it does not speak of any specific orientation, and fundamentally, there is not a single relevant scholarly study from the fields of hermeneutics or philology that strongly confirms that it concerns the topic of homosexuality.<br \/>\r\nRather, this term had a far more universal meaning. It could have referred to a promiscuous heterosexual man, not just a homosexual one.<br \/>\r\nTertullian\u2019s translation error (Vetus Latina) was also replicated in the later Latin Vulgate.<br \/>\r\n<br \/>\r\n<\/p>\r\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"The_Despotic_Emperor_Justinian_Interfered_in_Internal_Church_Affairs_and_Established_Homophobia_in_the_Church\"><\/span><strong>The Despotic Emperor Justinian Interfered in Internal Church Affairs and Established Homophobia in the Church<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\r\n<p>Emperor Justinian had a key influence on the Church&#8217;s teaching on homosexuality. Emperor Justinian was one of the Church&#8217;s greatest persecutors, paradoxically despite the fact that he considered himself a Christian. He was clearly a strongly Christian emperor. Nevertheless, this emperor interfered very harshly in the internal affairs of the Church. He even deposed one Pope he disliked and replaced him with another, which ranks in the history of the Catholic Church as one of the greatest interferences of state power in the Church ever.<br \/>\r\nParadoxically, that strong homophobia did not stem so much historically from within the Catholic Church, but was an initiative of Emperor Justinian, who ordered the mass amputation or mutilation of people who practiced homosexuality. He had their genitals amputated.<br \/>\r\nConservative theologians argue that the Catholic Church had a very strong critical view of homosexuality long ago in the past. And it is indeed true that some theologians can be found who expressed themselves strongly critically towards homosexuality. But even more Church Fathers or theologians were those who either remained silent on the topic of homosexuality, despite the fact that, through inertia from pagan culture, a bisexual culture still persisted within that Christian culture. This means that bisexuality was still very common.<br \/>\r\nYet these theologians simply remained silent on this topic and did not express themselves critically, even though they could have. Thus, the majority opinion of that Church was rather a tolerant one. Those theologians whom conservative theologians so love to quote were actually in the minority.<br \/>\r\nThat the Catholic Church certainly did not have a unified opinion on the topic of homosexuality is very clearly proven by the fact that Emperor Justinian, who was known as the greatest persecutor of the Catholic Church, ordered the amputation of the genitals of even two Catholic bishops who practiced homosexuality. And they certainly did not practice it in secret; they must have practiced it very conspicuously and in an ostentatious manner, as it must have been known that they practiced homosexuality.<br \/>\r\nJustinian was not an emperor who was in any way afraid of the Church or who had respect for bishops, as is the case nowadays, when no politician would dare interfere in the internal affairs of the Church. Back then, times were completely different. Thus, the key role in why Christianity is so strongly homophobic was not played by the initiative of the Church itself, but was specifically the activity of Emperor Justinian, who interfered very harshly in internal theological and ecclesiastical matters. And even at the cost of having two bishops mutilated and their genitals amputated. And not just bishops, but also many laity or common ordinary people. This was done en masse under Emperor Justinian.<br \/>\r\nSo, on one hand, Catholic Christians believe that their Church is an authentic Divine revelation, but on the other hand, the reality is quite different. Many important dogmatic matters, such as the literal obsession against homosexuality in the Catholic Church, did not actually stem from the initiative of the Church as such, but from state power, from the greatest persecutor of the Catholic Church\u2014Emperor Justinian.
